I purchased this water fountain for my 2 elderly dogs (miniatures pinschers- 13ish pounds each) when we moved into a new house. The tap water where we live is very poor quality, so our dogs have always drank purified water that is delivered by a local water company. One of our dogs is blind, and I thought the faint sound of bubbling water would help her get used to her new surroundings and the new location of her food and water. However, I quickly realized this water fountain is basically silent. Only when our toddler is in bed, all the TVs and phones are silent, and the furnace kicks off can we hear the very faint humming of the motor. If you’re looking for a quiet water fountain, this is the one!Secondly, the fountain is aesthetically pleasing. Some water fountains are clunky and look out of place. The sleek black look and clear body with LED lights fits right in without being an eyesore.Speaking of the LED lights- they are a wonderful perk of this water system. Since it is so quiet, there have been multiple times I’ve failed to notice the water getting low. The fountain automatically shuts off and the light turns red. I don’t have to worry about the system being damaged by running dry when I miss the water getting too low, which is an awesome feature.The con- and it’s a very big con for me- is that the system STINKS. My dogs have been draining the system 3(ish) times per week. I have been taking the entire fountain apart and washing all the parts each time before refilling with fresh water. Each time the system smells like an old fish pond- fishy and gross. I ordered more filters and have added changing them out once a week to my routine- it still stinks. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but having to change the filters so often is not going to be cost effective- which is a huge bummer. I love this system other than the smell!

After our dog passed away, we decided to get rid of the large gravity water station & get something different for the cat but my husband has an issue with listening to water running, like many pet fountains' designs are. After researching many different fountains, I decided to try the Kastty Cat Water Fountain. It arrived very quickly & had easy to follow instructions for installation. We placed it in the same location as the gravity water station & plugged it in. I didn't think it was working until I saw the light come on & the water actually moving. Standing next to it, you can only hear the faintest murmur, & halfway across the room it might sound like a water drop on occasion.

I had originally purchased this and had the first one for about a year, possibly a couple months longer. The only reason it died was partially due to my own fault. I was not aware that the casing on the motor opened. I just use to smack it and tried to clean with the small brush that was given. Unfortunately, a lot of my cat’s hair got in and was not coming out. I found out it opened, proceeded to try and clean out the motor and ended up breaking it. So I bought another one. This second one is a tad different in the sense that the motor casing isn’t a nightmare to open (part of the reason I thought the first one didn’t was because I couldn’t open it for the longest time). My cat loves it. I like it. I don’t like taking it apart and washing it weekly, but since all her other dishes are dishwasher safe, it isn’t the worst thing. It does what it says it will do and it entices my cat enough that she is drinking more. And it probably would have lasted longer if I didn’t wreck it myself. I probably will buy more of a faucet one next time, as she still seems to have difficulty seeing the water movement over the black top, but I have very minimal complaints about it. Works as intended. Easy to put together and maintain. Just don’t be a dummy like I was.

It’s been two days and I’m still waiting for my kitties to not be intimidated by the little fountain. If I turn the fountain part off the cat will drink out of it. The other kitten is playing with the phone so I expect them to totally enjoy it in about three days.

its great for a while but seems to have clogged at some point but for the money im happy just have to keep a close eye on it just making sure it's still running great and dandy.

Love the color and my cat can’t knock it over which is great, filter is great bc my tap water is gross

Compré varias fuentes para mascotas (Cat-it entre ellas) y aunque todo mundo decia que son silenciosas, de todas formas se puede escuchar el motor funcionando. Mis gatos no se querian acercar a la fuente por el ruido. Cuando compré esta fuente, lo primero que quise saber es si el motor era perceptible, pero no lo es. Mis gatos si se acercan a esta fuente, y aunque aun se estan acostumbrando a beber de ella (nunca habian usado fuente y no les gusta el hecho de que el agua no esté quieta) el producto es bueno. El unico comentario que tengo es que aunque parece usar el mismo tipo de filtro circular que se vende en todas partes como generico, las medidas de los genericos no son exactamente iguales ya que éste filtro es un poco mas pequeño en el diametro exterior, entonces a veces los genericos quedan grandes y no se puede ensamblar la fuente. Sin embargo, hay unos filtros genericos a los que se les puede recortar un poco de la orilla, para que quepan bien en el compartimento y se pueda ensamblar bien la fuente.

Mis gatos se adaptaron fácil a esta fuente ya que no hace ruido. Y la luz es linda y relajante para ellos. Solo es de cambiar el filtro cada 30 días y los filtros los venden en esta misma app

Está genial, como es de plástico, es ligera y fácil de limpiar. No hace ruido y el agua siempre se mantiene limpia gracias al filtro, a mis gatos y perro les encantó. Está genial que la luz roja avise cuando se acaba el agua.
