Worked just fine...
I was worried about some reviews on several gland nut wrenches, but this worked well. I needed to rebuild a trim cylinder on my ‘95 Mariner OB, that hasn’t been off in 25 years. The only adjustment I made was to loosen the set screws and extend the pins so they bottomed out in the holes on the cap (just a little bit deeper). I used a 1/2” breaker bar and put my shoulder to it. Came loose nicely, nothing broke, slipped or came apart, bolt didn’t shear nor pins bend. Sturdy little tool!

Worked like a charm
Worked perfect for rebuilding my Mercruiser Bravo III Trim Cylinders. Beats buying a special spanner wrench #91-821709T to remove end cap

It Works
This tool saved me from having to "improvise" with a punch and hammer and probably screw up the cylinder trying to remove and replace the cap. As has been stated on some of the reviews, you have to watch the set screws on the pins and make sure that they are good and snug. I will probably put some threadlock on them to keep them tight. I really had to be careful to keep the pins seated in the holes and the tool level so that the pins did not pull out of the caps holes, but the tool works and I am glad that I bought it.

High quality product.
This OTC gland wrench appears to be very good quality. I've used it twice to remove a gland nuts from hydraulic cylinders. Made the task an easy job. Wrench already has paid for itself. This IS NOT a knockoff product. It's a true OTC item.

no better than any import
save yourself the money. Buy a cheap import, this thing is little better than that. I have an OTC 1266, used it for 40 years on rams for backhoes. Built like a tank. Had a piece of equipment that had a smaller gland nut and i needed the smaller tool. I always defaulted to their product, as it was one I could depend on. If I didn't need to use it on Monday, I'd send it back and buy a $20 one and save $40. This will be my last OTC purchase. It's like a private equity group bought OTC and said let's use their good name until it is no more and bleed the company dry. that's how disappointed I am in this tool. Oh, by the way, it does work, just not built any better than the $20 ones IMO.

Worked to remove JD piston gland
I bought this to remove the gland holding an old John Deere compact backhoe dipper piston, 2.5" diameter. Reading the reviews, I didn't have high expectation (it had been on for over 25 years), but I was surprised when it broke the gland free easily. Not cheap to purchase, but worked great for my needs. Will stay in my toolbox, end up getting pushed way in the back & buried, but some day when I need it, I am confident it will work (after I curse for an hour because I can't find it!)

Not OTC
Definitely a knock off with OTC rubber stamped logo. Will fold like a cheap towel

Works as intended.
Works great for boat trim cylinders. Can't speak for heavier duty applications, but it's a great value for my uses. The only advise is to check the set screws for the pins before each use, and you'll be fine.
