EDIT: The company reached out and said I should only purchase from them direct or an authorized seller. I’m confused because the Amazon seller I purchased from was Nordic Naturals. They replaced the bottle. It is smell free and taste free as I’ve come to expect. Excellent quality & I would recommend. I’ve purchased this 6 times. The 5 previous times the pills had NO smell or taste. This 6th bottle smells and tastes fishy. I’ve always kept the bottle refrigerated. As each week passes the smell and taste intensifies, disgustingly.

I never want to be without this supplement. It helps my mental clarity and mood more than I hoped or expected. I was taking a regular fish oil prior to this with a high DHA to EPA ratio. DHA is important if you are pregnant or a young child, as it supports brain and eye development. Adults do need some DHA, but benefit even more so from EPA. EPA is vital fo reducing inflammation (the cause of many chronic illnesses), protecting your heart, brain, and nervous system, regulating hormones and MOOD. "EPA Omega-3 makes you happy by modulation of serotonin turnover and phosphoinositol-mediated signal transduction, and L-type calcium channel regulation. EPA improves mood disorders like depression, and schizophrenia while DHA by itself has no effect on any of the above." "To reduce cellular inflammation, you need more EPA than DHA" I appreciate that this fish oil is pretty easy to swallow and does not leave a bad aftertaste or indigestion.

I purchased the Nordic Nautrals ProEPA after I received a sample from my doctor. This is the only brand and version of the supplement that I have taken, but I love it and can't imagine using anything else. I think this brand may be a little on the pricey side, but it is well worth it. The Nordic Nautrals ProEPA has a nice light lemon flavor. The soft gels are relatively large, about an inch in length. Despite there large size, I have had no difficulty swallowing them. I also have not encountered any side effects with this product either...no burps or fish flavor here! I have been using this product for about 2.5 months now, and have yet to have any side effects. Since using this product I have experienced less headaches. I imagine the benefits of this product are different though from person-to-person. Overall, I highly recommend this product if you are looking for an omega-3/fish oil supplement!!

I have purchased these several times before but noticed that my last order the gel capsules seemed melted on the bottom and WOW!! It was a horrible fishy smell !! I love these supplements but hesitate to purchase here and get another bad batch. I see in another comment the manufacturer recommends to go direct to their website. Going to check that out.

Probably the best quality of this type of product. I believe this is a very trustworthy company for fish-oils. As for its helpfulness, I am not sure; I got it for someone who is not remembering to take it :-) kind of funny since it is for his brain - mood and attention. It is kept in the refrigerator to keep it fresh and hopefully I will get some more feedback for you in the coming weeks. Oh yeah, I will note that I did take a few of these, just because, on two separate occasions. Neither time did I get any of that fishy taste coming up. Just know that some of the Omegas do create icky after-burps
