Side Brush Motor Module for iRobot Roomba 500 600 700 800 900 I3 Series Robot Vacuum Cleaner (Replacement Motor Module + Side Brush +Screwdriver)

The brush had quit working on Brad (our name for our Roomba). This fixed him right up. Quick easy fix.

Purchase this with good intentions as my original Roomba side brush stopped working. I decided on selecting this one as it wasn't the cheapest but wasn't the most expensive. Unfortunately this literally only lasted 3 weeks. It sounds like the cogs inside are just rattling about and the the brush no longer spins.

My roomba was not using the side brush I'm not sure what was wrong with it but I installed this one easily and it started working again. The new brush was not exactly like the oem its has this little thing on the top. If you look at the pictures the one on the top is the new one. Even though its not exactly like the oem one it works and it fits. I'm happy with the purchase.Update: I bought this on April 14 and I tend to let the vacuum lose every few weeks well not its not working well now. what its doing is it will spin once then stop then do on more rotation then stop again then spin again. I think the next time I use it, it will stop spinning completely.

Bought one a couple of weeks ago and it didn’t work. Ordered this one and it fixed the dead side brush.

I’ve had to buy a couple of these because they don’t last that long. They are somewhat inexpensive though and come with a screwdriver for easy installation so that’s nice. Fits the series 600 roombas.

In our house we have three women and three dogs. They all make a ton of hair that has to be handled. We didn't keep an eye on this side brush originally and it got bound up with hair. After replacing the motor with this one I make sure to clean out the side brush on occasion. I simply unscrew the brush from the motor and clean the hair out. This motor has been running perfectly for almost two years now.

This is the second one of these side brush motors that I have purchased from this seller. The first one lasted over a year and a half possibly longer.Unfortunately, this one only lasted 3 months. It would appear that the quality has dropped off since my original first purchase.The positives are fast shipping and a fair price. The ease of replacement has nothing to do with the seller, it is simply a product of a better design by iRobot.

The module fits fine into the Rumba. It works. Durability is TBD. No extra loud noise. The spin brush is of poor quality and not standard dimension. The hub is thicker so the stock screw is too short. But, they provided a longer screw. Would it not be lower cost, price of the longer screw, for them if they just made the brushes plastic hub the same as stock dimension? The brush also came all deformed from stored in a crushed condition. Soaked in hot water softened the plastic/rubber to return to its natural state, sort of. I can feel the quality of the rubberize material is not as good as the original. It is not as good as the aftermarket replacement brush I purchases earlier. I did not use THEIR brush.UPDATE: 8 months of use, everything held up and did not fall off. It is attached to the motor module which is also replaceable. So if this product screws up the motor hub shaft, it is replaceable.
