Great SNES retro controller from Retro-Bit at an outstanding price
I own two other wired SEGA Genesis controllers from Retro-Bit, one 9-pin and one USB, and unlike some other no name and lesser known retro controllers I have bought which stopped working, the Retro-Bit ones still work just great and have held up over time. I was surprised to find this wired USB version of an SNES controller with authentic concave and convex buttons from Retro-Bit at such a low price. Not only it is accurate, it is much more comfortable to hold than some of the mini wireless options 8BitDo offers. I also didn't want sticks and just wanted the d-pad and this wired option with its extra long cable was perfect. And I prefer the d-pad not to have the triangular indents and to just be smooth and so does my thumb! It works with every system and every emulator I have tried it on, and plus the black version just looks awesome. At the price it's a no-brainer.UPDATE 2/27/24 After trying another similar wireless option from another company, I appreciate the d-pad on this controller even more. It's really good. If there is one drawback, while it includes ZL and ZR buttons, they are not below the L and R, and they are instead much smaller buttons inside of the other buttons. You really have to reach with your fingers to hit them, and in a game like Mario Kart where you need those buttons to throw stuff in the heat of battle, it ain't ideal to have to reach each time. But having said that, in Mario vs. Donkey Kong and other 2D games where you don't need those buttons it's wonderful.

Excellent Price to Quality Ratio
These are a steal for $10. The quality is as good as you would expect (Retro-Bit is a good brand) but with all the bells and whistles I would have expected to pay more. One very minor disappointment is that the Home and Screenshot buttons don't appear to function in RetroPie. They don't even seem to be mappable, which is strange. The kids I bought them for also own a Switch though, so that's okay. It feels just like a SNES controller with extra buttons, and that's well worth the entry price.

Just Right
Feels quite a bit like the original SNES controllers. The extra shoulder buttons are handy but the "home" and "screenshot" buttons are glitchy and mostly useless. My biggest complaint would be with the D-pad: just pressing a single direction with enough force will trigger a second direction (ie, press right hard and it will read down+right or up+right). BUT, I only complain because I'm speed running games and frame-perfect inputs are necessary. Compared to other "cheap" pc controllers, and even to xbox or PS controllers, this is the best one I've found for playing SNES games.

Not bad for the price of it when I purchased it.
Fairly comfortable to hold and use just like the legacy snes controllers it is modeled after but with additional buttons and features such as the home and screenshot buttons albeit they are small and hard to make out at first what the buttons are exactly on first glance, also this has additional ZL/ZR buttons on top beside the usual L/R buttons. I use this with a retro system I assembled from a sbc and it works very well on that.Only caveat I see is best keep that manual around for switching the modes D/X and button swapping on this pad other than that it has been functioning very well.

Tried to downgrade a controller scheme. Didn't work!!! Not company's fault!!!
I bought this for my Switch I now gave to my little brother, because of Nintendo's Asian shade towards actual people, and Linux gaming. Couldn't do both very well. When on steam, there's problems detecting AND using the controller, unless you remove and disable all default controller profiles on it from the app and keep track of both modes which will have it switch to Electron Switch controller to some type of Xbox controller you can't use well, and on Switch you have to press a button combo to switch normal and classic controller modes, which I hated a lot. I had to use a combo to switch between D-pad and switch stick modes!!! Can you believe that!?!? The problem for steam is also one for Linux!!!! That's when I decided to get a controller that I can actually use for PC and Xbox series/one games! Please note: the controller wouldn't be compatible with all games altogether.

Amazing
This was an amazing bargain that works great. It looks like not everyone had this experience, but it worked out of the box for me on Steam (with Steam Input Translation enabled) and on Nintendo Switch (by plugging into the dock). It's not a 1:1 model but close enough to an SNES controller that it tricks my brain and triggers muscle memory, especially since it has convex/concave face buttons like the SNES controllers had. This is the wired model but honestly the wire adds to the authenticity.I saw several reviewers on youtube mention that they didn't comprehend why there are tiny ZL and ZR buttons on top, because ZL and ZR are typically rear triggers on contollers. This is for Nintendo Switch Online- it's how you get back to the game selection menu as well as well as rewind, so I'm very glad these were included.

A great retro controller
I mostly use this on a Switch for my retro game lineup. It has the best feel and latency for the price, period. I have used several wired controllers and this is some great quality for a great price with a wide range of compatibility.

Great controller for emulators
It's a nice sturdy controller with a long enough cord.
