Q: does this darken the color of the stone? does the stone look different at all after it dries- including sheen?

I saw no change in color at all.

Q: Does this product need to be diluted with any other thing?

No this product is ready to use and does not need to be diluted.

Q: If you are sealing around outside windows, do you need to tape off the windows? Does this harm windows or metal painted trim around windows?

I used it on brick and stone and actually coated a metal mailbox with no issues. I would probably tape off the glass.
