Great and Unique Gift for Husband, BF, Dad, etc
They no longer make the Leatherman tool bracelet, but this one is very well made and a fraction of the price. Gets a lot of compliments and is really useful as well.

Really like these tool bracelets more than I should! LOL
I got this bracelet for "dress up". Daily, I wear the silver version, and I wear a silver tone metal bracelet watch. They are comparable weight, and I feel they are sort of "balanced", if that makes any sense. They feel a bit like a set.So when I dress up or go out, I put on a nicer black skeleton watch with gold highlights, and I got this to wear on the other wrist to balance out the weight against my "dressy" watch. As far as function? Well, I have used my silver tone bracelet at work in a pinch, but I wouldn't count on it for anything important. And because I'm using this black one for dress up, I won't be using it for anything other than some random, dire, emergency situation. They are basically identical, but I don't want the black to get scratched up.One caveat I will say - since I wear my silver one daily, it gets a lot of abuse and beat around. It holds up well, EXCEPT... sometimes the screws come lose. The first time, I lost the screw. Since I took one link out to size the bracelet down to fit, I had a spare. the second time, I foolishly cross-threaded the screw putting it back in too quickly, so had to swap out that link.My solution was to get some thread lock and after soaking my silver bracelet in hot water for 20 minutes and then scrubbing it down with a fingernail brush and soap to get it cleaned from sweat and grime, I sat down and removed every screw, one at a time, and put thread locker on the screw, and then replaced it. I let it sit for 24 hours after that to help ensure all the locker set well. I don't expect any more issues with loose screws.I haven't done this with my black bracelet yet, but it needs to get done (just the threadlocker part). I do recommend doing this if you buy the bracelet and plan to wear it regularly. I used blue thread locker, not the red, and it's been fine. If you wanted to be more permanent, red requires high heat to release the screws, and I suspect that may change the color of the finish of the metal if you even need to release the screws (I expect they may snap before the red lets go otherwise, rendering that link useless.)Final thoughts: I really do like the heft/weight of this bracelet, and I've received compliments on it a few times. Its unusual from other jewelry/bracelets. Some people don't recognize immediately that it is basically a multi-tool, so its a fun conversation piece as well.Strongly recommend. Might make a good gift for a man in your life or for yourself. Remember the thread locker suggestion!

A far less expensive alternative to the Leatherman Tread
Longtime Leatherman carrier. Always covited the Tread ,but could never justify the price tag.At first, this bracelet seems impressive. Nice look and feel. Great variety of tools. My concern is that half of the links are hollow (see photos). This can't be good for the longevity of the nut drivers.I have a feeling that in the long run, I am going to get exactly what I paid for.I wouldn't buy a knock off of the Wave and expect to get over a decade's worth of dependable service.Who knows, this thing might be a gem.Or, it might simply be a taste of the usefulness of the Tread, justifying its price tag.***Just compared pictures for the Tread.Looks like it's constructed the same.
