Best brush
I am on a limited budget and have to make purchases mindfully. I was introduced to the silver Black Velvet brushes. Those were marvelous. I decided to purchase the SILVER SILK brush. Wow what a bargain for the money. This brush behaves like a much more expensive brush. The water capacity outlasted my expectations, I could paint a line and not have to reload. Love this brush. This is a very affordable tool for your artbox. I have now purchased my second in a larger size.

Probably a good buy
I don’t like it as much as the black velvet brushes but I think it’ll be useful in the right situations. It’s stiffer and less moppy which feels like the lines are more forced. That may work well for others according to the artist’s style of work.

A brush for under $12 that performs as well or better than some of my more expensive brushes.
It has, and holds a great point. The belly of the brush holds plenty of water and pigment and lays down a really smooth wash. Buy it, you'll like it. So far I have only swatched with it, but I am already in love. I have two other size rounds in this line, but this if my favorite size of the bunch. ADDENDUM: After using this for a bit I need to add that though it does the things I listed above, it also tends to create bubbles within the bristles when scrubbing on paper, or in my paint well. This was especially noticeable when using the brush to take pigment off of watercolor pencils.

Holds much water yet provides control
I own Princeton Neptune, Princeton Aqua Elite, Black Velvet Silver, Winsor Newton Cotman watercolor and Ooku quill watercolor brushes. I had a gap in the round 8 size and loved my Black Velvet, so I decided to try this Silver Silk ultra round brush. It's become one of my most used for watercolor. The long bristles sop up water and yet provide great control with a precise point while allowing plenty of flex and line variation. Love it!

For the Artist
Wow! This brush has ALL the desirable attributes! I could go on and on about how it holds a ton of water, how soft it feels, how the point returns to shape...but really this brush has to be experienced to be believed! No joke. A MUST HAVEN'T! One happy camper!

Good option for synthetic
I bought about 8 of these for a painting night with friends. They were an affordable option that performed well for synthetics. Held water and pigment nicely, good tapered end and sturdy build.

Precise pointed tip and wonderful feel
The tip on this round brush is pointed and stays pointed! Such precision is possible with it that it replaces many of my smaller brushes. I am amazed what a difference a quality brush makes, especially when using watercolors. This one is so far superior to any others in my fairly large collection of round brushes that it has made me a Silver Brush convert.
