I couldn’t be more pleased with the MacArthur Study Bible, 2nd Edition in soft leather. From the moment I opened it, I could feel the quality—the soft, supple leather cover is elegant yet durable, and it feels wonderful in the hands. The craftsmanship is excellent, making it a Bible I know will last for years. The content is truly where this Bible shines. John MacArthur’s study notes are incredibly thorough, rooted in sound doctrine, and provide rich historical and theological context. I bought this one to give to a friend who is finally turning to Jesus! I already had a MacArthur ESV study Bible as it was recommended to me by my pastor. This Bible has in-depth introductions to every chapter and a many pages there’s more commentary than there is text of the Bible. This is a great tool to help you study the word of God and to give you better understanding it might not be the Bible you want to carry to church on Sunday because it is large and heavy.

Ordered for my friend and I couldn’t help but read through it. Might have to get one for myself. Great notes as well as maps and context.

This is a great Bible to have. Love all the cross references and notes by Pastor John MacArthur. Studying the Bible is easier with this Bible

This Bible is great there is a ton of commentary for questions I have as I’m reading. Of course there have been a handful of times where in a verse something isn’t covered and I wonder what something means. But overall it’s great.

First of all, the page layouts are amazing. The Bible is well-made and sturdy which I wanted. Inside, the pages are thin, but not so thin I could see the bleed through page. Pages have a great size font even for those of us who need a slightly larger print to keep from eye strain. Easy read and the page formatting keeps it all from being distracting. The Bible verse sections are clearly distinct from the lower commentary section. I like the intro to each book. The charts, maps, and the back full of all sorts of lists and index work. A treasure trove that will bring out significant details that I might not think about as I read through or choose study topics. Recommend!

The John MacArthur Study Bible is the perfect study Bible. He is very thorough in his notes, and the ESV is easily read. It's so helpful to have a study Bible that clarifies passages that are not always easy to understand. Someone who has read every study Bible cover to cover said that the John MacArthur study Bible was the best. That's why I ordered one for myself.

Amazing! Has made me more hungry for God’s word!

This is my second John MacArthur esv Bible and it's the only one I use for studying the Bible and bringing to church. The incredible amount of information in this is worth the price alone in my opinion. From almost verse by verse notes, to articles on doctrine to maps and a pretty decent concordance, this has it all. The print is easy to read and the paper holds up to underlining in pen without marking the other side. I don't use highlighters so I can't comment on bleedthrough. I think they could have done better on the cover, as it's not "leather soft" in my opinion but even with that it's well made and I highly recommend it.
