Q: Can this product be used on its own?

Yes it can be used on it's own but if you want more of textured look it's best to mix it with Cavalier or Monarch. Use Original as a pre styler and Monarch or Cavalier, depending on your hair type, as a a post styler.

Q: Is this product oily and greasy???

Not at all. It has a somewhat sticky, pasty consistency - much like other styling pomades. But not greasy at all.

Q: can this product be used on it’s own?

I wouldn’t recommend this as the main product. It’s best as a pre-styler especially if you have thick, coarse hair. I have thick hair but the strands are fine and this stuff makes it too floppy. I just use mousse as my pre-styler, blow dry, and finish off with cavalier clay.
