Hard to find item at a great price, not like the $25 plus at other stores. Works great too! Needed to hook up old monitor to new computer and back it up to a wall. The cable helps me with out sacrificing space.

True plug and play installation. Works completely as I had hoped. Delivered quickly via Prime. Watching a show on a 2nd monitor as I submit this quick review. Having the cable style conversion rather than a solid adapter is helpful in crowded wiring environments.

I use a Samsung TV as a second monitor. Previously, it had been attached to an old video card via a VGA connection. It was set to 1920 / 1080 / 60 Hz resolution and looked fine. When I upgraded the computer I went with a EVGA GTX970 and connected the TV to the HDMI port. It looked terrible: barely legible print, smeared icons, overscanned etc. I bought a cable and connected it to the Displayport, which was just as bad. The same went for the DVI connection. Finally I got this little adapter, which allowed me to go from the DVI output on the graphic card into the "Computer (VGA)" connector on the TV.And Voila! A 1920 / 1080 / 60 Hz picture that looks just as sharp as the main ASUS monitor with a 4K DVI connection. You can move a spreadsheet from one to the other with no change. This works! 10 seconds to connect and all the problems are solved. Brilliant!

I got this item to replace a converter that was of the fixed type. The reason is that I had a clearance problem on the back of the rack whwere the computer is installed, and didn't want the cable to be pinched aginst the wall. I needed an adapter that I could move into a wire/cable channel.This is not my first time buying from the seller. All of their products are, in my experience, of a high quality and dependability.

Needed this after getting a new computer. Existing monitor is VGA, new computer only has DVI. Was very careful about which DVI was needed...triple checked it. Installed the new cable. Has been working great since January 2013. Chose this cable over others due to the length. Short DVI to VGA adapters (without a cable) but stress on the Video card connector. This adapter connects normally to the computer. On this adapter, the cable hangs down and lays the monitor connector on the floor - no add weight pulling on the video card. Would definitely buy again.

It's just an adapter, not much to review here. 4 stars because it works just fine but for a cheap Chinese piece of hardware, I think the price could be a little lower. Still, I'm happy with the purchase.

This adapter has the thinist pins that it is impossible to install without bending them. I Compaired them to the pins in an old dvi cable I had an these are half as thick as the pins in the cable end. I was extremely careful during instalation but could not get two pins to engage in female end on video card so is useless.
