It works, which is a plus, but the wires are only 4ft long either side of the controller, so 4ft to the battery and 4ft to the winch. Nowhere near reaching the end of my van like an 8ft wire would, so I would need two people to winch something into the van, which completely defeats the object of having a winch in the first place.I shall extend the wires but I wish I had gone for a wireless set up.

Good addition to my defenders 4000 lb. winch. Prospective purchaser's should be aware that the total length of the cables is 4ft. - not 8ft. as advertised. The total cable length is 8ft. but in 2 sets of 4ft. As there are 4 cables in total.
