Fun and original story!
So this book was a little different in that usually the male character is the a-hole that you don’t like. For me, it was the female main character, Vivian, that it took me a while to warm up to. Yeah, I get all the issues she had in her past that made her that way, but I feel like she was really rude and mean for a long time to Luke. However, I guess that would fit into their stereotype careers, she was a divorce lawyer and he was a couples counselor. But the enemies to lovers relationship definitely worked in this one, because it wasn’t necessarily a lot of insta-attraction or insta-love to start with. I liked that aspect. There were a lot of good extra parts to the story and that made it turn all really pretty good.I really enjoyed the different dating disasters the two of them went on. Those were so funny, and so true to how things seem to be in the dating world these days, or probably always have been that way. You think this person is really good and someone you’ve connected with, but then they tell you how they are flat-earthers or something like that. Or they bring their mom on the second date, because if their mom doesn’t like you, it won’t work out. There was one or two kind of awkward written moments for me in the book, the main one that keeps sticking out as I think about the book is where the main characters says to herself that she’s glad the shirt covers her “buttocks”. To me that is an awkward word for someone to be thinking about themselves. It also conjures up when Forrest Gump explains where he got shot and I just hear his voice saying it. Other than that, really it was a good read! And I’d be interested to see who else will be in future stories in this new series.Oh, and I loved how the epilogue was done! Funny and cute!

A fun clean with spice rom com
The date setups were a little dramatic and the cussing and the constant thinking of her lacy panties got to be too much and made the MMC seem shallow. But it was redeemable in the end. Overall the writing is far too crass for my taste although so I won't be reading more from this author.

A sweet easy read
If you are looking for something heavy then this is not for you. But if you are looking for something sweet a little of the girl hates guy then fall for him take them you will enjoy it. What makes this interesting is the complexity in the personalities. Character development was great despite the plot moving along quickly and easily. I recommend

A light, good Rom-Com
The week leading up to our Spring Break seemed to be rather drawn out and hectic. We had quite a few long days full of extra meetings along with some winter storm repairs going on at the same time. I knew I needed a light, quick, fun story to read and Opposites Attract definitely delivered on that. This enemies to lovers rom-com was full of many laugh out loud moments that created the best distraction to sneak in amongst our chaotic week.I was hooked from the very first scene where you watch the potential love interest humorously cross paths on their way to a meeting. Their heated interactions just grew from there. You felt the angst and frustrations, but saw the underlining growing attraction making it extra fun to watch play out. I adored Luke!! His personality was so charming. Being a psychologist, he just had this calmness about him that contrasted perfectly against Vivian’s sharpness. It took me a bit to warm up to her, but as more of her background was revealed I began to understand the reasons behind her harsh reactions. My favorite scenes in this book happened during the numerous blind dates. Each quickly made a perfect evening out ultimately hilarious with their awkward revelations. Trust me their dates are crazy!!! Loved when Luke and Vivian ended up at the same restaurant and witnessed one another’s disastrous pairings.Vivian’s daughter, Teagan, offered a wonderful seriousness to the storyline. I loved her scenes with Luke. Her character touched on topics of single parents, underage drinking, seeking professional help and sexual harassment. Her biological dad is a piece of work who is easy to despise!!Be sure to sign up for the author’s newsletter. She’ll send you the sweetest epilogue told from the cutest perspectives!!!

Love next door
It is a delightful romantic comedy that captures the sparks and skirmishes of turning a neighborly feud into a fiery romance. Vivian is a seasoned divorce lawyer, finds herself at odds with her new neighbor, the exasperating Dr. Lucas Keller, a couples' therapist. Their initial conflicts, fueled by professional rivalry and personal misconceptions, soon give way to unexpected alliances and romantic overtures. This first book in the "First Comes Love" series is an entertaining blend of banter, romance and revelations.

Just like a Hallmark, nice and cozy
Well written from both sides. I am not a writer so my review of this book is going to suck. But it's a good book and you should read it if you like Hallmark movies because this is basically a hallmark and it was fabulous.
