Hot Tools HTBW1852 Curly-Q Tapered Nanoceramic Curling Iron

Great wand, especially for someone who really struggles with curling my own hair (very fine, straight, does not curl well typically)! I had previously bought one of the traditional Hot Tools curling irons and was not successful in being able to do my hair nicely with it, but this wand works wonderfully. My only issue is with the glove - it seems cheap and the way it's designed made it difficult to wear while trying to do my hair; I ended up ditching it completely. Otherwise, highly recommend!

I love this curling iron. Using a tapered iron without a clamp creates much more natural curls than your regular barrel style iron. This iron came with a glove to prevent burning but I didn't really think it was necessary.I have used the Hot Tools brand previously (I have an iron still going strong after one year) and have no complaints. With heat styling you need to ensure your hair is protected prior to utilizing any tools but I did not notice any difference between these and my 'high end' salon purchased ironsEDIT:Have owned this over two years and it has been absolutely awesome. This iron makes less of a "perfect" curl which is desirable. As a first time user of a hair tool that's not a blow dryer, I had a little bit of a hard time keeping my hair taut around the barrel, and because it is tapered, all the hair slipped to the bottom of the barrel (which you hold upside down) to the smaller end. With a few more tries I got the hang of it and gained the confidence to wear the hair out in public! :P No regrets buying this. The glove sucks but you don't really need it.

Ordered this for my fiancee and she researched the heck out of all of the different models in this price range. She loves it and would definitely recommend it.
