I know you shouldn't swallow this but would it be okay to add a drop to coconut oil for oil pulling, then spit out after? trying it for cavities.

you can add clove to coconut oil for brushing teeth or massaging gums using a very small amount, but be careful with oil pulling, as clove oil burns. try it with just a drop at first.

What is "carrier oil"?

Essential oils are so concentrated they may be irritating by themselves. Olive oil is a good carrier oil that you may have already, it’s what I would use

Why can't I use this in tea?

I use one drop in my toothpaste so of course some amount is absorbed by mouth but this bottle says "for external use only" on the label. It would be up to you if you want to experiment. If you do be cautious and only use one drop. Also oil and water don't mix so the tea would just have the drop floating as a drop, not diluted into the tea.
