These are so nice!
These plates are exactly what I wanted. They're beautiful, can be used every day or for more formal dressed-up dinners. So far they have held up well. They don't mark with silverware or when you use knives on them like some other stoneware I've had previously. They're lighter weight than what I had previously but still feel substantial. Personally I don't like super thin flatware, it feels cheap, but that's my preference. Lots of teacups I'll probably never use, but I like the smaller bowls for the kids, perfect for applesauce or ice cream, and the larger bowls are what you'd expect size-wise for cereal/soup/etc. For the cost, I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

nice everyday porcelain dinnerware set
I bought some of this Gibson Regalia dinnerware from another big box retailer a few years ago, but I moved and wanted to add more place settings, so I purchased this set for forty bucks and feel it was a great value. To the comment that these feel "flimsy," this is porcelain dinnerware, which should be much lighter and thinner than stoneware/ironstone, and still be stronger. Personally I prefer a lighter-weight porcelain plate after using hefty stoneware plates for many years! I definitely recommend it for quality and value, but people shouldn't expect a fancy designer-quality set at this price point. However, the new set doesn't quite match the old one--the plates are just a hair smaller, and the pattern is more distinct. The teacups are also a slightly different, taller shape (see photo--the new set is on the right). However, the sets are close enough in appearance that I will mix them and use them together (probably only I will notice the differences). We love having two sizes of bowls--they are really useful! I rarely use the teacups for tea or coffee since they are smaller than normal coffee mugs, but they make great custard or pudding cups. The teacups hold about 3/4 cup, the small bowls hold just over a cup, and the large bowls hold about 2 1/2 cups.

Very thorough review
I think that this pictures might be slightly misleading in the ad as you have no comparison to anything else for size. But this is definitely the most well packaged box of dishes I've ever seen. The weight of the plates and everything is good, I dont feel like any part of them is poorly made and they were packaged very nicely. Only one plate had anything wrong and it was a very small chip on the underside of it and I think that happened before shipment.I cant speak to weather or not they lay weird when you have them all stacked up because im not using them yet. I just opened them to make sure they are weren't broken. They are an off white color but they are not like a yellow or beige off white, and the pattern is just as distinctive as it shows in the photosThe serving bowl is a good sizeThe serving plater is smaller then I thought it would be. I was expecting a medium sized platter (something not quite big enough to hold a 20lb turkey, but still a decent size) but this is maybe big enough to fit a roast chicken on it or something.Dinner plates feel small but that might be because the ones I use now are gigantic.Small plates feel regular sizedLarge bowls are a good size for a cereal bowl or soup.Small bowls are WAY smaller then I thought they would be. They could fit a literal cup of something in them but not much more. Maybe I can use them as portion correct little ice cream dishes or something? But I dont see these getting daily use ever.Cup Saucers are normal sizedTea cups are very dainty. I actually thought they were coffee mugs not tea cups when I bought this. These are definitely the cups you use if your serving fancy high tea not if you want a big cup of cocoa or something. Still very pretty the handle might be delicate looking but it doesn't feel delicate when I hold it.Salt and pepper shakers are a decent sizeAnd the napkin holders are napkin holders. I doubt they will see much use on my table but they are still cute.4 stars because I havent tested them out yet so I dont know if the cutlery will leave any marks. And because the cups amd small bowls are much smaller then anticipated.Overall it's a good sized set of everyday plates and worth the price for everything you get. And if I don't use the cups and the tiny bowls ever ill just donate them to goodwill or something. Still worth the price for every thing else.

Absolutely love and arrived faster than it said.
I absolutely love this dish set. I wanted something white with some detail but I didn’t want anything that would take attention away from the food. I always want my food to be the star of the show. Honestly this is a great set, especially for entertaining. It has a serving platter and bowl, napkin rings and salt and pepper shaker to match. I will say the only thing is the coffee mugs are very small. That doesn’t bother me though because I can’t ever drink a full cup of coffee so it’s actually the perfect size, plus they are a great size for my 4 year old for his hot coco.

Excellent Quality / Excellent Price! And Serving Pieces Too!
I really like this Dinnerware Set. It's nice for every day, and for special occasions too! The Serving Pieces and Salt & Pepper set are a nice perk to go along with the set. Excellent Price, Excellent Quality! I've bought Gibson home products before, I've had no problems. I just wish they offered a matching completer set with a Cream & Sugar service, and more serving bowls, etc. I'll probably buy a 2nd set soon.Edited/updated to show picture of bowl size (customer question) slightly more than 16 oz (2 cups). I've used this daily for 7 months now. It is still bright and beautiful.

Solid Dinnerware Set
I was a little bit worried if this set would make it via mail but they arrived with no problems. I was looking for a dinnerware set that was white but not too plain and I'm happy with this set. They are solidly and sturdily constructed with some details on the edges. The plates are microwave safe and dishwasher safe. It comes in a big set with matching cups, napkin holders and a large plate and bowl for serving guests. I wish the mugs were a little bigger as they are 8-10 ounces. I'm use to larger cups but I don't mind. It's a lovely set for eight.
