Great product.
While the seeds are very fine I was able to spread them by hand. About 8 - 10 days later they have germinated and growing fine. I'm a couple of days short of 3 weeks and again I have about a 1 inch growth across that part of the yard. I did use starter fertilizer about 2 weeks before I planted. I would buy again because the rest of my lawn is Midnight grass with the dark green character so any other seed would show a distinctive light green similar to you fertilizing and missing a spot. So once you use this seed you have to stick with it.

Poor coverage
We followed the instructions exactly but the grass is very patchy even after 3 coats.

I’ve tried other grass seeds and the results are not as good! I recommend their mid-night KBG!
Best grass seeds I’ve used on my lawn!!!! I’ve had nothing but great results when I’ve used it.A lot of negative reviews on here but with KGB It’s important to water it often for gd germination. Use peat Moss and keep it moist because like they say “if it dries it dies”.

Mixed feelings some great some did not
Location Mid MichiganI have used this seed on an overseeding project last fall. In some areas the turf was really bald and did not grow at all, specifically in one 200 square ft area where I wanted to test the seed alone. Could be the temperature issues (perhaps too late in the season, but I watered religiously and nothing came up. So I tested it inside during the winter in a couple of trays with the same soil sample from the previously seeded area. The seed germinated in 6 days and two weeks later it was fairly thick. I will re-try that same area in May to see if it was indeed a climate issue here in Michigan, but in a constant controlled environment T 68°f it grew well, even after the cat walking on it😄, stay tuned for more.

Growing well so far!
1.5 weeks since planting in recently excavated sandy soil and I have seedlings! I was a little surprised because I had read KBG germinates in about 3 weeks so 1 - 1.5 weeks was encouraging. I was also a bit afraid that soil temps were too high. I read KBG likes early spring with 70 degree soil temps..its been 85 here. This was all on freshly graded, sandy soil, with little organic content, no starter fertilizer, little prep except for a quick harrow, and likely acidic soil. I did put down straw over the soil to keep moisture in and have been watering early and late in the day but I am seeing seedlings in places the sprinklers don't cover so I may reduce watering in case I am overwatering. They seem to be doing fine.I will update this in 2.5 weeks (4 weeks since seeding)
