Perfect Affordable Solution for my M1 MacBook Air
Nice monitor. For the money, I couldn’t be happier. I love the USB-C connectivity for my display and charging. The size is awesome, too.My only complaint is the “USB-C cable” that shipped with the monitor didn’t work. I assumed the cable that shipped with the monitor would work as a display cable to connect with the MacBook Air. Unfortunately it didn’t work, I assume it was because the USB-C cable that came with the monitor is not a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C cable. The included cable was nothing more than a charging cable.Anyone wanting to use the USB-C as a display cable must make sure the cable you purchase has a lightning bolt on it; this means it’s a Thunderbolt cable. Once I purchased the correct “Thunderbolt 3” USB-C to USB-C cable, everything worked flawlessly.

Great Value Monitor for Apple Users
I bought this monitor for use in my home office. At work, I use the older Apple Thunderbolt Display. For my home office, I was looking for a display with comparable screen quality of my office display as well as usb-c inputs, to avoid all of the cables. My computer is a 2019 MacBook Pro 13"After using for a week, I definitely like this monitor and would recommend it for someone that is budget conscious but wants a good display. Make sure you take the time to calibrate it.Also - make sure you get the Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable when pairing with an Apple Computer. The cable that comes with it is not fast enough for charging plus video etc.In short: if you're highly critical to color accuracy, I would spend more for the next model up. If you can "flex" a bit on color and want a good display, this is the one!

Faded, white-washed display. Small light text is almost unreadable.
I'm using a 2017 12" retina Macbook, connecting over HDMI. I tried every calibration setting (of which there are few) to no avail. The screen is just washed out.Other reviews mentioned this problem too, I should have listened. Viewing this monitor makes me feel like I just spent an hour swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool without goggles. Everything is fuzzy and white. The text in a dimmed menu bar is barely readable. Black browser tabs in front of a grey background are barely visible. Furthermore, also mentioned elsewhere, it's a big monitor which doesn't view well at an angle. It's like the corners are covered in frosted glass. At a "normal" brightness level, there is not enough contrast. Setting the contrast way down helps, but then it's not bright enough.Other issues: The built in speakers are a nice touch, but the Mac volume controls don't appear to talk to the monitor. So you have to fiddle with the single button on the monitor's to use it's buiit-in menu to control the volume. Really inconvenient. Maybe there's a way to fix this, but given the other issues it wasn't worth figuring out.All that said, the hardware is beautiful: it's great looking monitor with a great stand. So I assume other LG models of similar design might have a better display. But this is not the one.Don't buy this monitor.

Good monitor, important caveat for MacBook users
I've only had this monitor for about a day but I wanted to write a quick review to help anyone using a MacBook. The included USB C cable does NOT seem to work with my 16 inch Intel-based MacBook Pro. It would charge the MacBook and connect it to the USB devices I had plugged in to the back of the monitor but the display would not work. I tried restarting the MacBook and manually trying to detect the display but it simply wouldn't find it.On a whim, I purchased an Apple Thunderbolt USB C cable it it detected it right away. This is the first Mac I've had for many years and I'm new to using a USB C monitor, so perhaps this is obvious to more seasoned users but I wanted to share my experience in case it's helpful for others. As far as the monitor itself, it seems to be pretty good. The stand is very sturdy and adjustable and the screen is nice and bright. The colors don't seem to be as saturated as on my MacBook retina display but I'm guessing I can play with the settings to get it closer. I'm not a video editor or photographer so I don't have super specific needs when it comes to color accuracy but it would be nice if things were a bit more consistent. It also seems to work well with my PC via the DisplayPort input.Edit: Unchecking the "High Dynamic Range" option in macOS seems to help the colors

Nice Monitor
There is a lot to like about this monitor. It's easily height adjustable, it can pivot, the angle can be tilted up and down, it has built-in speakers (I am using a Bose Solo 5 soundbar instead of the built-in speakers), the side and top bezels are not too wide, and the picture quality is very good, with a lot of picture configuration options. (I plugged a 3.5mm stereo patch cable from the back of the monitor into the soundbar.)I watch TV broadcast and cable channels, movies, and TV shows via my computer, so I wanted a larger high quality-picture monitor with a higher DPI capability. I did not want to spend so much and buy one of the many monitors above $500, but I did not want one of the cheaper 32-inchers that had less DPI capability. This LG has so far satisfied what I want. I have settled on the "HDR Effect" Picture Setting for most use, and it is quite nice. There is also a "Custom" picture setting that allows for a lot of configuration. (I could never have just settled for LG's factory default picture settings.)The monitor is very heavy...much heavier in weight than I expected. Attaching the stand is really easy. Detaching the stand is also very easy. Build quality of this monitor seems good. Assuming this just-released monitor stays working perfectly for a long time, LG did an excellent job and I am glad I bought it.

Broke after 18 mo
I really enjoyed this monitor, it started to get horizontal lines through the monitor around 18 months after purchase. This was such a bummer. I swapped the thunderbolt cord out and used an HDMI to connect my equipment and it was still there. Most of the screen is blurry and doesn't go away.
