This is a simple stereo audio AB switch that lets you send an audio input to output #1, output #2, or no outputs. The switch on top has three positions. Or, you can use it backwards too. Meaning, feed in two audio inputs and select which one you want to come out the middle jack. You can let input #1 come out, input #2 come out, or nothing comes out. Hand built in Canada. Measures 50mm x 35mm x 25mm tall. Weighs 22 grams. No batteries required. Cables not included.

Love It When It All Just Works!
Since I purchased a Little Dot MK III recently, my ODAC has been feeding the source to that amp, leaving my O2 all by its lonesome self. I was initially looking at Y cables or splitters so that I could hook the ODAC to both the Little Dot and O2 and use one or the other depending on what headphones I was driving without having to unplug and replug the RCA cables out of the amps. I soon abandoned that idea when I realized that ODAC feeding to both amps at once would cut the power going to each amp, lowering the SNR, introducing noise and cutting the volume. Since I prefer to run my amps at the lowest gain possible for lower noise floor, I needed something that would allow me to switch between the two amps without powering both at once, hence a switch. I was initially looking at the Schiit Sys, but decided against it as it was too big and expensive for a passive switcher. Then I ran into this little thing. Nice and compact with a switch and and off/mute position and conveniently 3.5mm (as my ODAC outputs in 3.5mm and I was already using a 3.5mm to RCA). I took the chance despite this item having 0 reviews as it looked pretty solid and I figure, how can you screw up a passive switch right? And the conclusion is that like I suspected, the switch works great! No ground loops or effect to the volume or audio quality while allowing me to conveniently switch between the two amps powered by a single ODAC. Very nice!

High chance of being broken, buyer beware.
Finally got new 3.5mm cables in to be sure. The product I received does not work. At all. The switch appears to function and click between states, but no audio can make it through the device. I might try to open it up and see inside, but even on the off chance I can fix it, shipping a broken product is the definition of 1star. Immensely regret my purchase.

Gambled and got a nightmare
Its a professional looking package but seemed pricey. I bought this a/b switch 4/28/17. I'm not sure if it worked properly out of the box because the left channel signal level varies greatly as you repeatedly toggle the switch. At times the left channel audio level will drop off while you're listening or is out completely to start. I suspected the a/b switch to start but I bought new cables to make sure that they weren't part of the problem. At first i switched the stereo audio from a tv to a sound bar or old headsets. New blue tooth headsets allowed me to hear the channels more clearly and realize the imbalances. I wasn't sure if the old headphones and cable where contributing to the problem. Soundtracks like with "Bosch" helped to reveal the bad guy. Now i have to rock the switch til i get balanced audio. This a/b switch turned out to greatly confuse matters rather than being an expensive convenience. If you would like to avoid frustration and regret be sure NOT to buy this device. So, its either find a GOOD exact replacement switch and be good at solder extraction or "keep on rockin!"

A great little switch. It does what it's intended to do without flaw.Service was great, fast & reliable. I highly recommend!Updated June 6, 2017: The switch has begun to act up. The volume cut out on the right speaker. I have to constantly tap the switch to get it flowing sound through the right speaker. I usually read all reviews before making a purchase. On this item, I assume I didn't because after reading the other reviews, I never would had purchased the very pricey switch.

A bit over priced, but it is well made and works perfectly
Works perfectly. I use it to share a set of powered speakers with both my desk top computer and an Amazon Dot. With a flick of the switch I can either listen to whatever the computer is providing, or listen to music from Amazon provided by the Dot. No distortion introduced by the switch, not even any static or noise during the actual flipping of the switch. I think it is a bit over priced, but it is well made and works perfectly.

A/B switch was just as described. I used it to connect two different sources to a single Aux In on my car. It allows me to switch back and forth easily between both sources without needing to swap out the plugs every time. So far, it works great. It has been installed for a few weeks.

Disappointed
Worked at first, but left channel on both outputs cut out after a few days of use. Whether this is due to poor quality components or workmanship, I cannot tell, but either way not what I expected at this price point. I do not recommend
