JUKIHZL-LB5020 Computerized Sewing Machine

The media could not be loaded. This machine is amazing!! It just sewed through 4 layers of lycra like butter. I'm so excited that I finally found a machine that I don't feel like tossing out the window. My other machine, I would have to make sure that I'm using the EXACT needle and thread for the fabric. A great price for a great machine!

I’m very happy with my purchase of the Juki 5020. I saw a review and demonstration of this particular model on The Crafty Gemini by Vanessa Wilson. It is a sturdy, hard working machine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy an inexpensive, easy to use, basic stitching machine.

I absolutely LOVE this machine! It's a total workhorse and sews over multiple fabric layers like a dream. I am an experienced quilter and I feel this has just the right balance of mechanics and computerization. The only things I would change would be to add a button for the thread cutter and change the accessibility of the accessory arm which attaches to the machine. I don't know who designed it but it's awful to get to my tools, etc without dumping the box. So I made some small quilted baskets and put everything in those.

It's a great machine. I am learning with it and I've had a few bumps along the way but the instructions that come with it are worth keeping around. The instruction book has helped me fix all of the problems that I have come across so far. I am new to the sewing world but this machine is great.

Works like a champ. Very sturdy and nice quiet motor. Easy to thread, easy to wind and insert bobbin. Thread cutter is the best.

Honestly, if you’re looking to buy something expensive to fix and not compatible with any other presser foot. I thought Juki was supposed to be like top and sewing machines, but I was wrong. This machine is very hard to troubleshoot to open the bottom plate. No screwdriver will work. It has to be the little one that comes with it. my thread gets tangled all the time, and I have done everything to fix it even change the needle, even changing the thread even ordering new needles, and this machine just breaks through all of them. I’m not new to sewing. I know how to troubleshoot a sewing machine, but this machine specifically is possessed by some sort of demon. I am not kidding. I am dead serious. This machine is garbage and after you spend so much money trying to fix it it won’t work a week later. Total garbage go with the brother computerized machine better. It’s half the price than this one and has much more sewing patterns and it’s much easier to troubleshoot.

I havent, really used the machine yet, wasn't happy that it is not made in Japan ,like was led to believe, made in Taiwan. Didn't get all of my accessories.Write more later, not happy right now.

So excited to finally get this machine. Learned about it from Crafty Gemini & she was right! This machine can be hard to find in stock...so if you have been wanting one grab it now. Love it, great for me as an intermediate crafter/quilter. A bit more expensive than my Brother & Singer but so worth it!!!
