Best thing ever! It really and truly works!
This 2-cup Airtight Guac Saver works exactly as stated in the item description. It's perfect for a 3 avocado batch. The keys to success are making sure 1) the guac contains no air pockets, 2) the top of the guac is slightly convex in the middle (like a hill), and 3) the lid is pressed firmly down on the top of the guac. If you do these things, your guac will taste fresh and look bright green for days. I did notice a very thin (1-2mm) ring around the edge where the guac was a slightly darker green, but it still tasted perfectly fine. This ultra thin ring is no big deal and you likely won't even notice, unless you're specifically looking for it.After doing daily visual checks and taste tests of our Guac Saver guac, I kind of forgot about it for a few days. When I found the 1/4 full Guac Saver a week later, the guac inside was STILL GREEN! I'm not kidding. It even tasted fine. Of note, my recipe doesn't include tomatoes.Do yourself (or someone you like) a huge favor and buy the 2-cup Guac Saver. You'll save money, time, and will be able to enjoy green guac for days. Also, the 2-cup version (vs the 4-cup) is the way to go. I initially purchased the 4-cup version, but the diameter was much larger than I expected. The 2-cup version is perfect for 1-2 people and the small diameter ensures smaller amounts of guac and stay fresh.

Guac Saver
So glad I was able to get my hands on one of these! I love making fresh guacamole but hate it when it starts to go bad in a couple of days. This keeps it so fresh and green for days! Easy to use and clean.

Love Love Love
This product will allow you to save your left over guac. I have been able to put in the fridge and pull out a few days later and the guac is still a beautiful green and tastes great. No more brown leftover guac or having to throw away any leftover.

Works well
It's smaller than the one I had, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, it works well. Keeps guacamole bright green for days!

Guacamole keeper
This container keeps the guac green as long as you squish out all the air. I left guac in this container in the fridge for 3 weeks and it was still green. I threw it out though, not sure it's safe to eat after that long but it still looked good! Some guac gets pushed up the side when I squish. It's an acceptable amount of loss, IMO, but it gets crusty and can fall in if you aren't careful. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I sooooo wanted this to work
I read the reviews. Noticed people weren’t pushing it down straight/flat or they weren’t pushing it down all the way to the Guac. I knew I could go it. Made the Guac and put it in the container and sealed it up. Two days later it was looking great. Just a tiny bit of brown on outer outer edge. I pulled it opened and bam! the green plastic top separated from the clear bottom piece that touches the guac. It’s ruined. Poorly made product. Needs to be redesigned. Don’t waste your time.

Great idea, implementation not so great
Removing the rubbery seal to clean the lid properly was easy. I did that. But the injection molding and/or gluing process (whichever seals the clear plastic section of the lid to the green plastic section of the lid) isn't good enough. There was enough open space in the seam to allow a minute amount of food to be pushed into it under the pressure created by sealing in the avocado/guacamole in and leaving no air. No amount of soaking can get it out. I'd have to break the lid apart to try and fix it.Truly sad to write this, as the first time I used it last week after purchasing in late August this summer, was spectacular. I bought a CostCo Wholley Guacamole 3 pack of 2 cup product and opened one. Finished about half, and used the Guac Keeper to store the remainder.3 days later took it out of the fridge and it had a thin streak above the seal that had escaped as I pressed the lid down, and those bits were darker. But the indside was as bright green as the moment I put it in the container. My daughters use plastic wrap and just push it down and squeeze out any air then wrap the excess of flim around the bowl. Just like this device, but using only a six to eight inch square bit of cling wrap that costs maybe 2 cents, use and throw away.Fix the seam issue, or mold the entire top in a single color so it's a solid piece with no seam, and this product would be worth the price an get a Five Star review from me or anyone else. The attached images show that I've taken the rubber seal off, and the minute bit of bacteria infected debris is left inside the seam of the molding in a way that I can't remove it, not even with a very thin edged fillet knife. So I'll never be able to use it again; that matter could infect any food I put in the container again.: (unhappy in sw WA State
