I wanted to have a scanner that had coverage across domestic, Japanese, and euro vehicles. I have a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, a 2008 Volvo s40, and a 2016 Honda Fit. This scanner has proven to do more on my car than I need it to do! It has more options available than I know what to do with as a DIYer. This is far better than the little cheap-o OBD code readers and has bidirectional controls so I am able to to active tests and relearns. This MK808z is well worth the price.

I got the MK808Z, and it's wonderful. Wife operates a mobile business so being able to diagnose and quickly repair things at the house is extremely helpful to get back on the road quickly. Being able to scan all modules other the ECM is just what we need to fix the yellow wren light. I was also able to do the rear brakes of my '19 VW Tiguan with the service mode. Was able to reset my buddys airbag light after he unplugged it. I was able to turn off the annoying auto start stop function. First time setup was easy, updating out of the box only took about an hour. I would recommend if you're interested in being more serious about doing your own maintenance. Scanning for trouble codes and having the MK808Z give you much more indepth information other than a code is amazing and I absolutely love it!

This scanner tablet is downright awesome for its price. It has helped me troubleshoot countless things and the live data spreadsheet is tremendous. The only gripe I have is that for some vehicles this thing has limited options on the module testing and diagnostic options. It doubles as an Android tablet which is great for taking notes and saving them. Autel is used by pros, this tablet is not some gimmick and you’ll find ASE certified technicians using tablets just like this one. Great buy for the price.

Machine works very well, and is quick. I've had the machine for over a year now, and I'm constantly amazed at what it is capable of doing. I own 2 newer Toyota trucks, an older Honda, and 2 ancient, but still computerized GM SUV's. This machine has diagnosed every issue I've had so far. Software updates have gone flawlessly on this machine. No non-obd adapters were included in this kit, but I bought a separate Autel adapter kit later, and that remedied not being able to connect to older non OBD2 equipped vehicles. At well over $400, you get a lot of bang for the buck. This machine even programmed factory keyless entry fobs and Immobilizer keys on my 2021 Toyota Tundra! Impressive! Saved me hundreds of dollars in locksmith fees doing this one job! Newer machines have come out since, but this older machine is still impressive!

So the whole reason I bought this scan tool was because it was able to run functional tests. Long story short, my truck was over heating and I was sure the fans weren’t working correctly. I don’t know if I got a faulty scanner or maybe my truck just doesn’t allow me to function test my fans but it didn’t work with my truck. I replaced the fans thinking they were bad due to the scan tool not being able to function them but it still wouldn’t function the new fans. What I don’t understand is when I select my truck it makes me pick “active grille shutter control” or “trailer brake controls” because my truck has neither. I posted a video to see what I’m talking about.

I originally bought a Foxwell NT624 and hated the limited function of it. For a little bit more money I found the MK808z. I can control the modules for a proper diagnosis. Build quality feels so much better. Runs pretty quick and has lots of car options, some that I didn't even know existed. Comes out of the box, once registered, with a 1 year update subscription. The only thing that could make this purchase any better would be a screen protector. The case is very sturdy and holds the tablet really well.

Best scanner for the money hands down. I'm a mechanic who was looking for a scanner for home, this unit can do absolutely everything my snap on solus edge does. The information graphing is a little better on the solus but the autel is still good. Unbelievably impressed

Great scanner, with great options

I bought this to work on a chevy volt, it let me reset many modules and diagnos every module i have used it on my Jeep JK and F150 Works great/ lots of info Easy Setup

Fonctionne bien.

Does not provide real time engine data as advertised. Specifically for my 2003 dodge ram diesel. I needed to be able to see and monitor fuel pressure to diagnose an issue with fuel pump. Unit would not provide that or any other useful realtime data.
