L2 R2 Trigger Hand Grip Shell Controller Protective Case for Playstation PS Vita 1000

I was mainly interested in this grip for the added fuctionality of the extra L2 and R2 buttons for my Vita. I needed them in order to play emulated PS1 games properly. I am very impressed with this product because all though it first appeard to be of questionable quality, once attatched to the vita, it really adds a great look and feel to the device, and the comfort of the grip when gaming cannot be overstated. The L2, and R2 buttons feel a little strange, as they are smooth and press kind of funny, however, the games respond to them very well, and the ease of their use makes up for any shortcomings. The product has obvious room for improvement. But factoring in the included screen protector for your vita as well, it is more than worth the price. I highly recommend this to take your vita to the next level.

Yes, it is a bit of delicate job getting your PS Vita 1000 into this case without breaking the latches, but just keeping that in mind you won't have a problem. Once mine was successfully installed it fit beautifully and no I don't have any reason to ever take it out of the case again. I cleaned my Vita thoroughly before placing it in this amazing protective case. The included screen protectors are such a huge bonus! And the thumb grips. The way it fits so comfortably into the palms of my hands now as I play for extended periods makes it a joy now verses my hands getting cramps and hurting. The case has the exact spacing to only fit the Vita 1000 so make sure of your Vita modle that it will fit properly. This is the best functionality buy on the market for a Vita 1000 without a doubt I wish I bought it sooner. The other reviews where the clips broke I'm sure they were preying apart the case too roughly, as I will say it is a very gingerly job getting it initially apart to place your system in. Just make sure you completely separate both halves, than reconnect the henge before placing your system in. Also make double sure your system is the correct side up before trying to close the halves together otherwise the clips will break.

Overall review; 6/10 on comfort, more comfortable than without the case, but still not the best, those with bigger hands may rate less. 3/10 on Material used, I can see why other reviews said it broke on them, be careful when applying it and it should be fine, but wouldn't be surprised if it snaps one day. 10/10 on use of rear buttons, they worked perfectly with no difficulty. 10/10 on camera visibility after application, no edges are blocking the camera. 10/10 on button accessibility, no plastic blocking the buttons from being used. Finally, a 1/10 on price, the convenience of this item is a must have, but the value of the item is significantly higher than what it cost to make, the plastic is likely made of Polypropylene, the same plastic used on soda bottles, this plastic is around 4¢ a pound, this device without buttons likely weighs 20 grams, the buttons and springs likely cost a dollar to manufacture, this means it's likely around $5 or less to manufacture. I can see this product being around $10 to $15 at market value, but not around $35.

I give it 3 stars because it IS functional and works pretty well, however, this is the cheapest 3d printed plastic I've ever seen. It feels like it could break just by holding it too tight. The quality does NOT match the price. I would recommend just 3d printing your own with how poorly this thing is made. Works but 100% not worth what it costs, doesn't even fit properly. It's barely hanging by the tiny tabs that hold it shut.
