There are plenty of tea books out there. This one falls into the beginner category. One that is does extremely well. Almost every page has a photo. Be it historic photos of tea production, closeups of dry tea or grand views of tea gardens in exotic lands.The reader gets a concise overview of the history and practices of tea around the world. Covered is how teas are processed and graded and some info on other types of "tea" such as Rooibos, Yerba Mate and herbal teas.What keeps it in the beginner category is the brief flavor profiles of specific teas mentioned in each country. But if you are moving from being a supermarket tea bag drinker up to trying loose leaf tea, then this is a great book for that.After reading this book a beginner to loose leaf tea can order with confidence online or venture into a brick and mortar store and not be overwhelmed with tea or brewing choices.For the tea enthusiast it will make a great gift for your friends who are curious about your obsession.

The book came with splatters on it.

I was looking forward to giving this book as a gift. However, when I received the package there was a cut on the box of the box that damaged the box itself all the way through to the hard exterior. I was very disappointed with such the low quality and care the package received.

A good informative book about all aspects of tea production. A lot of pictures make it not boring to read and overall give you a lot of information about how tea is grown and then produced. Also the book talking about different types of the tea and their health benefits.

My wife loves tea and collects rare vintages from around the globe. She loved this usefull gift, a pleasure to look at and filled with great information.
