I've had hyperpigmented cheeks that started off as spots and then turned into a bronzer like effect all over my cheeks, I guess when the spots are no longer definable it become melasma? So this has gone on for years and years that I try things, use sunscreen, but while better w sunscreen use, it would flare up again during the summer.I also started to develop melasma on both insides of my elbows and forearms several years ago. I was not able to get them to budge despite using topicals, peels and sunscreen.I purchased this and tested it for 3 months taking 1 to 2 half teaspoons a day, everyday and I must say that I've made the biggest improvement supported w the rest of my routine. My cheeks still has some mild discoloration. But under makeup its invisible. My forearms are almost cleared, there are still some dark stripes, its the most obvious on my skin still. I'll need a another 3 months of continuous treatment and supplementation.All in all this plant works. Just a warning, this stuff smells like peat moss or damp dirt. I was really nervous taking it in the beginning. Mixing it w my collagen supplements and sweetened soy milk, I was able to take it and the taste wasn't as bad as the smell.

I have been struggling with blood pressure and menstral cycles for the last few years. I mixed this product with honey and took a teaspoon full a day for my skin as I am allergic to sunlight and the capsules that the pill form comes in. It was kind of an earthy cinnamon flavor. A little bit goes a long way.
