K&H Pet Products Kitty Crinkle Sack Teal 15" x 18"

My 12 year old ginger tabby cat loves playing in paper grocery bags. I wanted to find something that would last through more than 2 or 3 days of my cat's rambunctious play. This looked promising, but my cat is large (not fat, but long) and this toy is not large enough for him to play in. It's a nice bag, just too small for us.

My cat loves his Amazon brown shipping paper, so I had hoped to upgrade to a more aesthetically pleasing crinkle option. It does crinkle very nicely and looks much better than brown paper on my floor. Catto is about 15 pounds, so he doesn't fit in it very well and while the opening is firm, it takes work on the cat's part to get into it. He does enjoying laying on it. Sadly, the brown shipping paper is still his first choice for crinkle play.

I had this item in my wishlist for a very long time. I thought it sounded and looked great but that my cat would most likely just sit on it or avoid it all together. I wasn't sure the crinkling sound would sit well with my cat or not.Our cat is a rescue cat, so we always tease about how she is easily pleased by cardboard boxes, strings, and plastic bubble wrap over expensive cat toy items. Anyways, we have these reusable grocery bags for shopping and many of them have plastic bags we use for produce inside of them. Well, we got home from grocery shopping and we left one of the bags on the floor. Our cat decided this would become her new bed, play area and place of just sitting and watching over the house at night. It made a loud crinkling sound because of the plastic bags inside of it. Before we left this bag out on the floor, she was also starting to burrow in everything like blankets, jackets, clothes, etc. This made me start considering this item more seriously.After a few weeks of her constant use of the bag we left out the floor, we decided it was time to invest the money in this item which looks so much better than a grocery bag on the floor of your living room. At first, she couldn't leave the old bag and preferred it over the Kitty Crinkle Sack. We then decided to remove the grocery bag in order for the sack to be her only option. She would play on it and occasionally sit on it, but because it was different, she didn't quite take to it right away. So we just left it out and would play with her close to it and sometimes on it in order to get her used to it being there all the time.We ended up going out of town for a few days and continued to leave the Kitty Crinkle Sack in the spot where the old grocery bag used to be. When we got back, we noticed she would sit and play on it more so, which was a good sign. She hadn't quite figured out the burrowing part yet. A week later, I got a text message from my husband at work with a picture of our cat sleeping inside the sack. From that day on, she has made it a regular part of her routine to sleep inside the sack. All in all, she loves it and uses it as a place of rest, burrowing, sitting and the most entertaining thing is to watch her play on it. If you find your cat is starting to burrow and passes the grocery bag test, ha! then this may be the bag for you.

The only problem is the it keeps falling together and my cats don’t use it.

I had to order another one because the other cat is jealous.

First of all, you need to have a kitty that likes to be in places like under blankets and in bags. I have one cat that is a strictly on top of the bed and on the couch cat. The other cat likes to get under the blankets and into bags and boxes. The on top of the bed cat shows absolutely no interest. The under the blanket cat took to it in less than a day and gets in it at least once a day to nap. Great bag if your cat likes to get into things, maybe not so much for cats that don't. I love K&H products.

She kept trying to tuck herself into like hoodies and towels so when I saw this crinkle bed I knew she needed it!

Very nice and thick inner fabric, good crinkle sound my cat likes, but a bit on the pricey side for the amount my cat right now uses it (which is not much) but I know other cats would really love this soo, whether it is worth it depends on your cats personality and if they like/use it or not. A kitten would probably love this.

This is a great idea for a cat bed/toy, however, my cat went in once and never again. Which is really too bad. He also doesn't respond to catnip so I couldn't just bribe him in there lol The opening stays fairly open, and is some kind of wool, which most cats like. The inside is pretty spacious and the crinkly material can be staged so that the bag sits relatively open. The crinkling is pretty loud, so if your cat digs that, it's a really purchase. It's not very expensive. It's more of a cream-tan colour than the pictures suggest, but that's ok :) I would recommend this item to people who have cats that like crinkly bags more than my cat does haha

My kitties didnt get into it right away... i had to hold it open a little and ruffle the outside at the end to entice them inside but now they climb in and play with it more without my messing with it. Not hugely haha but some.Well made, like worth the price big time.. theres going to be kittens soon so i assume they'll make use of it. It sounds just like a plastic bag or thicker tissue paper. Its cute. And a good size. Would fit a bigger cat than mine, and mine are just under adult size.

I love this cat sack! It makes awesome paper noise and is a fun thing to crawl into for a cat.I saw some other complaints that the sac doesnt stay open.....but I don't think that's the point. It is not supposed to be held wide open for your cat so that the cat feels like it is crawling into a papery cave that it kind of has to dig itself into. It is slightly open so you cat sees the welcome, and from there it is up to the cat to crawl in and call it home.Tan is not a bad colour at all, although I think the teal would look very nice as well. For $18 this was SO worth it!
