The book is very attractive in terms of diagrams and colourful photos to explain different issues related to structures. As an Architect, I find this book very helpful as it starts with very basic information from elements of structures and types of loads to a complicated design.

One Star
A very interesting bok for all that loves construction problems.

Décevant
Un autre ouvrage sur les bases du calcul des structures où les choses sont traitées trop superficiellement et de façon trop classique.

Great for students and professionals!
Excellent book for architect students from 1st year onwards. Basic and advanced insight into structural systems and loading techniques. I have a great library of books progressing and my tutors, tech lecturer and I would recommend students to add this to their collection.

Misleading title, don't expect to actually learn anything
A coffee table book, full of pretty pictures and mildly interesting blurbs. Totally useless if you want to learn how any of the fantastic examples in the book are actually built.
