DalenTree Stake Kit for Young Tree Protection

After about 2 years on the tree, two of the cords have snapped/been cut but they're plenty long and easily retied again. No problems with the stakes or the nylon loops.

Last summer I had planted 25 evergreens to make a natural fence in my back property. During the winter the trees on the ends really took a beating with the wind. There was nothing to protect the trees; I was back there stomping them back into the frozen ground. So I purchased these tree stakes to help my poor evergreens. They worked great!! My trees are still standing, the stakes are in the ground and they never looked better. The package comes with 3 stakes and ties; I only used 2. One on each tree and it worked perfectly!! Can't beat it for the $$. Very pleased!!

Bottom line: it does the job. But be aware - the cord comes apart easily, making it difficult to thread through the eyelets; the amount of cord is not enough for all three stakes, it’s more like enough for 2 1/2. If these don’t deter you, I recommend.

The straps were good. The cords would have been fine if they were longer. The stakes were worthless. The notch for the cords was too close to the top and easily broken while the stake was too wide on the bottom to pound into the ground easily. I got some metal tent stakes and used the straps and cords and that seemed to work okay.

I have not used this yet. Our ground is still frozen from winter, but I have to say it looks very sturdy and solid from the package. It looks like it is going to be very easy to install. This will give our young tree that we planted last year sturdiness. I made a make shift one but it needs to be replaced.

So the installation instructions weren’t clear. I don’t understand by a long strap cloth strap was sent, and the instructions just implied that it gets wrapped around the tree. Okay, so I’m supposed to tie the rope around a that, then? That makes the installation tricky. So not only did the strap roll up and loosen so that it fell down the tree, but the stake was found to be split. It wasn’t split when I hammered it into the ground. Want a refund but there’s no option that I can find without contacting the seller. Get a different tree kit

Honestly, we weren't so sure these would work, but they did and they stayed put even through fall, winter and a very wet spring. Our new tree was starting to lean and had a branch or two that needed training so we bought two packages. When they arrived we thought, "there's no way this is going to work." We followed the instructions and they held the tree and two wayward branches in place long enough to correct the lean and re-train two crossed branches. Super pleased! We were able to remove them after a year and store them away to be used again even!

Ropes slip all the time, end up untying themselves. I knot the rope well, then it slides down the tree after a few hours. Not useful for what I bought it for. A waste of money.
