Ordered 500watt, this is 300 Watt despite being labeled 500 Watt model.
I would like to have what I bought and paid for and not something lesser sold as something greater. Evidently there is a quality control problem in manufacture with the wrong wattage heating element being installed at the factory. If you look at these tools there are different wattages and each wattage tool is a different size tip and total weight. Overall the rheostat adjustment and indicator light are great ideas and what you would want and the physical tool impresses as solidly constructed industrial quality. So the tool size is linked to wattage heating element size by design and so the heavier weight tool requires the appropriate heating element. If you buy one of the high wattage tools be advised they are dangerous and you should wear gloves and protective clothing and exercise due care in handling and use keeping in mind they take time to heat up and a long time to cool down, the larger and heavier, the longer cool down time.
