Can i see the rings of saturn and cloud bands of jupiter and the great red spot with the starsense explorer 114lt?

I use the 25mm for best views, but I finally tried the 10mm on Jupiter and it worked to enlarge clearly. Although no color or bands. I can see 3 of it's 4 moons. It's good to get with others and I've found lots of info on cloudynights dot com. Although, it depends so much on so many things, like light-pollution, atmospheric conditions not just of Earth, but of other planets. Most folks recommend reading, reading and more reading on the skies so that first, we know where things are, things we are likely to be able to see. Don't give up, the more you learn by doing, the more things you will see. My opinion is the Starsense 130 DX AZ is a good beginner telescope, but it really hasn't given me more than I got with another that was 179.00. I love the app though, it is fun, but I also realize I need to make adjustments and learn more about eyepieces, the best places to view from etc. Star Parties, I pray we get past this Covid thing so we can really gather again and learn, in person, with others.

Can I take pictures with this telescope?

It is indeed possible to take pictures with this telescope, but you will need a second phone or camera and an adapter for either smartphones or your camera. The camera that attaches to the dock and uses the StarSense Explorer App is not looking through the telescope at all.

Does cellphone app work offline?

Yes, you need cell or wifi to download the app but after that it has a calibration that you perform to find position. They were smart enough to make sure that you could enjoy the scope and app while standing in a field in the middle of nowhere.

Are you able to use the code that comes with the telescope for the app on more than one phone?

The code is good for five phones

Great but arrived with a broken laser sight

Ordered this as an upgrade for our avid stargazer Son. He loves it! Instructions clear and well built - took around 20 minutes to complete the assembly. One small problem. The laser sight was damaged so we need to organise a replacement. These things happen I suppose.

Broken

Was supposed to be delivered on the Friday, got delayed and was told it would be Saturday. Item did not turn up until Monday. Set telescope up and the red dot finderscope is broken!!!

Ok.

A bit more complicated than I expected, especially with the set up. Assembly wasn’t an issue and didn’t take too long, but the set up to use the app with my phone and telescope was the tricky bit. Not blown away with the view. The moon is okay, but other planets aren’t that impressive.

Para empezar en este mundo, es perfecto. Mi hijo esta super contento con el telescopio. Despues de buscar y buscar, elijió este modelo y con la seguridad de que en amazon si no estaba bien, no tendriamos problemas en la devolucion. Se ve perfectamente toda la luna, y planetas que es complicadisimo localizar y ver bien como saturno y es alucinante verlo con un telescopio tan sencillo y nada caro. Y decir, que una de las lentes esta rota, y de forma inmediata nos dieron solucion por telefono y nos enviaron la pieza super rapido de recambio. Ayudando a colocarla por telefono. Se agradece que te den un servicio tan urgente. Ademas, se puede llevar y transportar en la bolsa perfectamente, incluso en avion nos dejaron llevarlo.
