Useful
The controller takes up a lot of room in the fixture box, especially a renovation box. That limits the type of LED light that can be used as many are designed to project into the fixture box.

Brilliant light switch
I bought this switch almost 8 years ago, and it’s been working perfectly from day one. The no-battery technology is brilliant and straightforward: the pressure that you use when pushing the light switch provides just enough kinetic power to transmit a signal to the wireless receiver that’s connected to a nearby light fixture. In our situation, the receiver is wired to ceiling fixture about 10 feet away from the switch — and it works every. single. time. Couldn’t be happier with it. If you’re installing a light fixture that isn’t already wired to its own switch (and you don’t want to mess around with running wires through your walls), this is the solution.

Expensive but well made product that works
These are expensive but they appear to be very well made. I bought two to use with pull chain lights in my house. I had an electrician install them and he noted they were challenging to fit into the light socket, but we made it work. This switch requires no battery, and it can be mounted on the wall by itself, or it comes apart and can be used in a regular light socket. We have one next to a standard decora switch and from a distance you would never know they were any different.

Worth every penny
Install was straightforward and it works like a charm. It is much more expensive than battery powered alternatives but worth it in my opinion.

Perfect Solution for a Difficult Problem
I have an old house with plaster walls and wanted to put in a light switch to control two light sconces in a bathroom. An electrician that was working in my house recommended that I use a wireless switch to control the lights rather than the button on the wall plate. Had it not been recommended by an electrician, I might have been hesitant to buy and install one of these. I was initially taken back by the price, but when you factor in the time and effort to put holes in your walls and then plaster them back up again, this is a real bargain. Based on all of the reviews, I believe this product will be reliable over the long run, so in the long run, this product is cost-effective. The instructions were very clear, however, it would have been nice to know there are green and red LEDs on one side of the unit and I installed it with that side facing the wall. No big deal - they just tell you that the unit is either on (green) or in standby (red). I will know for next time. Bottom line, I would highly recommend this product to others who need a switch for and existing light fixture.
