These containers are great!
People who review these poorly are really picky. I find they seal nicely and keep my coffee smelling fresh. And they're light compared to ceramic canisters which do keep coffee fresher but they're so heavy and I'm afraid of dropping them because I make coffee when I'm half asleep. Which is what I was looking for smaller, lighter canisters. The seal on these containers is rather tricky. You can't force the lid on. You need to press the two buttons that are located on the lid-press them all the way in-and, then push the lid on. Evenly. All the way around. If you do that it works just fine.

Caution!
I rather like these canisters and I still regularly use one of them. However, there are some issues: First, do not drop the lid. A single fall from even a modest height, and it’s garbage bound. More importantly, do not, let me say this again, **DO NOT** use these things for loose black tea! I did, and when I finished the tea, it had deeply etched the bottom of the container, leaving a texture much like worn-out sandpaper. So, I’d been drinking tea laced with some unknown plastic for quite some time. Ugh! I’ve no idea why tea affects this plastic like that. Coffee does not. Anyway, just a heads up.

Does its job well
This vacuum canister really does its job. It keeps ground coffee fresh for days, without losing the aroma. Definitely worth buying, though the manufacture could come up with a sturdier one. As is, it is on the flimsy, kind of thin side.

Keeps my coffee fresh for days.
I have 2 of these for different blends and so far they keep my ground coffee fresh tasting for 3-4 days. I bought these sizes specifically because I grind about that much at a time. There is air in the container and they don't let gas escape until they are opened but I am not having any problems with the basic approach.

I was disappointed that it is translucent and not opaque
It works with a light seal and is more convenient than a bag. I was disappointed that it is translucent and not opaque. I know light exposure is a major cause of deterioration.

Look nice on the counter top.
I purchased the 1/2 lb and 2.2 lb and I'm happy with both. Store my bag of coffee in the large container and transfer coffee to the smaller one as needed. This should keep the coffee fresh longer since the large container isn't constantly being opened.

Second One I Bought -- Not Good Like The First (blue) One
The lid pops off without having to push the button in. Wondering if this means the air-tight doesn't work!

Good storage container
Holds things tight. Good for coffee and other beans. After a year of use it has become apparently clear it doesn't come off easily.

Great for home storage of coffee
I bought 4 of these initially to store ground coffee. They work well enough that I have added two more and now have a rotation of 6 for the different coffees. Allows me to grind no keep enough going for several days. If you have a Breville pro grinder - these containers fit perfectly for upending from the grind holder to them - a perfect fit.

GOOD, BUT TOO BIG FOR ME
Works as advertised, but still too big for me. I roast my own coffee, but only for me, not for a whole family, so I only use a small amount at a time. there is no point in self roasting if you make enough to last for two weeks, so it is too big for me. I can still use it, but it takes up too much room for the amount I put in it. I am going to try the same company's smaller sizes, though they are not advertised as being good for coffee (that is, keeping O2 out and letting CO2 out), but i don't see why they wouldn't work. If you roast 1/2 a pound at a time, then I recommend this product.
