Deceptively simple and magically attractive, Bilibo's iconic shell shape and bright colors immediately appeal to children. Developed in collaboration with childhood development experts, Bilibo's unique form arouses curiosity, engages the imagination, and encourages creativity. Both boys and girls find unlimited ways to play with Bilibos – using them to rock in, spin in, hide under, sit on, tote with, and peek through. Bilibo provides hours of fun, indoors and out: at home, at the park, at the beach, in water, and even on snow. Review: I will admit I debated and thought about buying this toy much longer than any adult should spend thinking about toys. It seems like such a cool different toy on one hand but on the other it's so simplistic I worried it would be boring and would just end up wasting space. When my 7 year old was about 3 I thought about buying this toy and decided against it. Finally last Christmas they were on sale and I figured why not and bought it for her almost 2 year old little sister. We have now owned this toy for about a year and it is a household favorite. It gets used daily and is the cause of many fights between my almost 8 year old and her 2 year old sister...they both want it all the time. In our house this toy has been used as a chair, a spinning chair, a balancing tool, a step stool, a boat, a helmet, a baby doll cradle, a space ship, a turtle shell, and a magician's tool just to name a few things off the top of my head. Extremely well made and versatile toy that was completely worth the cost. I'm actually planning to buy a 2nd. Review: My son has been using these bilibo chairs for around 7 years or so now. He is nearly 12 and very tall but still has lots of room in this. He spins for hours a day. Yes after 6 months or a year the chair eventually cracks and we have to replace it but for the amount of use that it gets it is absolutely worth the money. Sometimes we've managed to get 18 months out of one. Will continue to buy for as long as my son fits in one.

I originally bought this for my daughter who is 18-months-old but she took no interest in it. I think it's too big and she had a lot of pink to choose from. Why bother with a red thing?! However, my sons LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. They take it on the hardwood floor and have "spinning" contests. This thing will go FAST! My six year old has much better balance than my four year old and he can go so fast it makes me wonder how he doesn't vomit. They've also used it as a shield for battle, using the holes as eye holes. I am sure they'll discover other uses for it in the future. This is just what they've come up with in a few hours. But not once have they asked to play with electronics! We have noticed that our kids act much worse when they play the Wii, DS, iPad, computer, etc so we're severely limiting them in the house. They got ZERO electronics for Christmas and between this Bilibo and other things they have not missed electronics at ALL! Bilibo = win!

I admit, I was a little skeptical purchasing this based on some of the negative reviews. The positive reviews ended up swaying me, and I'm glad that they did. We purchased this for Christmas for our 20 month old, but knew that our almost-4 year old would likely end up playing with it as well. It was a surprise hit with not only our kids, but also our 9 year old niece. In fact, I think she may have enjoyed it more than our two little ones. Our 4 year old likes it for spinning, however he still needs assistance with this. He also likes to wear it as a hat, climb on it, and use it for his marbles. Our 20 month old enjoys putting things in it and sitting in it at this point. Our 9 year old niece loves to spin in it, it got her and the 4 year old to put down their new tablets and play with the Bilibo for an hour which I thought was pretty impressive for "just a piece of plastic". I think that our kids will find more uses and play with it more as they grow, but overall I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend.

My cousin's young daughter was born with some issues that cause her to have very low muscle tone and physical coordination. When I saw the Bilibo on sale, I immediately picked one up with her in mind. My sister, a kindergarten teacher, told me she'd read about them and that they are great for all kids, but that it would be especially useful to a kid who needs to work on coordination and core strength. From what I understand, they've been very happy with it. Although she was still a bit young for it when I bought it, she's 3 now and she can use it while watching TV without really knowing she's doing important work. She has a lot of physical therapy, so I'm sure it gets very tiresome for her as a frustrated 3-year-old. I'm sure any young kid could benefit from a Bilibo. Aside from the obvious physical benefits, it's a very open-ended toy that lends itself to all kinds of fun uses - a basket, a hat, a house for little army men, a place to stick the family cat....
