Totally solved my POA/POI issue on my Walther Q5
Have a Walther Q5 with a Vortex Venom optic on it. Was hitting substantially low until the Vortex customer service folks suggested this product. It totally fixed the problem AFTER I realized that the shim is a shim...which means that one end is higher than the other. Once I figured out I put it on backwards, everything was perfect. An inexpensive solution to a big frustration.

Fixed Vortex Venom Elevation Issue
I purchased a Vortex Venom 3MOA for my .410 turkey gun, but was dismayed when the elevation screws bottomed out and I was still patterning 6" below the bullseye. A quick search online revealed that many folks have experienced this same issue with their Vortex Venom sights running out of elevation adjustment. Vortex customer service recommends this product as the best fix for the lack of elevation. Received this shim, which mounted perfectly on the provided base and is thin enough that you can continue to use the stock screws with plenty of thread engagement and the registration points in the base still securely engage the sight to maintain zero. Place the thick end of the shim towards the rear if you need an increase elevation or to the front if you need to decrease. Quick and easy fix. Now I have plenty of elevation adjustment if needed. Highly recommend this as a simple fix for an issue Vortex needs to address. For the price, Vortex should include this shim with all of their Venom sights.

Fixed Vortex Venom Elevation issue without the shim
I too bought this shim and it did fit the hole pattern and the factory screws were indeed long enough. I ended up not needing the shim to fix my elevation problem on my venom red dot. I had the venom mounted on my MK III 22/45 and I ran out of elevation. The gun was hitting about 3" low at10 yards with the elevation screw turned all the way up. After I ordered the shim I called Vortex customer service and the guy told me to try running the windage screw (not elevation) all the way to the right then back all the way to the left and see if that worked. I guess some how this action can work to recalibrate the settings. Well this worked like a charm for me. After doing the recalibration, my first couple shots were an inch or so high. Plenty of room to dial down the dot right where it needs to be. Try this before you buy the shim. If your mount has the 4 little locating pins on it to mate up into the venom, the shim with the thick end will prevent the pins from mating into the bottom of the venom. Not a big deal as the two front pins will still hold it in place along with the two screws used to attach the site to the base.

Works but possibly over-priced
It would have been helpful if the company provided installation instructions. Otherwise, the product appears to work. Perhaps overpriced for a simple piece of plastic with some holes.

Fixed my Vortex Venoms point of impact
I removed my rear sight on my CZ 75 SP-01 to put on an EGW Vortex Viper / Venom red dot mount base and Venom red dot. The problem was no matter how much I dialed my Venom "up", the red dot shot 6-8 inches low. I read some reviews that Vortex actually recommends using the Delrin 1.0 degree shim from UM Tactical to remedy the point of aim / impact issue. I can say the shim, in my case with my shot hitting low, has fixed my problem. Mount the delrin shim between the EGW base and red dot with the thick end to the back of the mount if impact is low, vise versa if hitting high. Try this fix if you need to hold high or low to hit your target and you need more adjustment on your red dot sight to be on target.

PERFECT!
Had to send in my first red dot as the elevation screw stripped out trying to zero it.New red dot, and new shim...sits right in the middle and works perfectly.Depending on the red dot you have, you MIGHT want to get longer screws (Vortex doesn't give you enough length to get more than a couple threads). This product is precisely made, and works perfectly

Problem solved
Needed 1 degree shim to correct red dot zero alignment. Now target is spot on.
