How should I clean the hydrophobic screen?

You can pour some isopropyl alcohol on the screen for a few seconds then run it through hot water to get the resin off. Then pat dry with paper towel and put back inside mouthpiece and you're good to go.

What about the smoke coming off the cigarettes themselves? How would this stop that? If you try and smoke it in something doesn't it just go out?

It doesn't stop cigarette smoke coming from the cigarette itself. This isn't really meant for cigarettes, it's meant more for people who smoke bud using a pipe, since pipes don't give off much smoke. This primarily is to hide the smell of smoke that comes out your mouth.

How will i know when to change filter

The filter will feel clogged when exhaling into it. It's important to also note that you can remove & clean the hydrophobic screen inside the mouthpiece. Regularly cleaning this screen and keeping it dry, will keep your filter lasting longer.

Absorbs all smoke/vape you blow into it

Absolutely love this. It's worth it. Works really well and lasts a good amount of time before it gets full. Just keep stored in a dry area. Humidity will make the filter age faster. It's simple to use and convenient for smoking around nonsmoking people/places. When the filter is "full" or needs to be replaced, you can tell from how hard you have to blow into it. It will have resistance and that is your sign to replace the filter. I always keep one of these on me. Of course it can't make up for any smoke coming from (for example) a cigarette burning, it will only absorb what you blow into it. So be aware of excess smoke created by your smoking/vaping devices.

Works well, not pocket friendly.

I have neighbors. As much as I enjoy my outdoor solitude with a pipe, I want to be a good neighbor. Yes, the clouds of smoke are gone, but I also don't suddenly feel guilty if I suddenly hear a neighbor's kid head outside AFTER I'd inhaled. If it starts leaking or you start to feel resistance when you exhale, it's time to replace the filter. It's a bit bulky to take in a pocket, but it easily goes into a bag.

Needs A Lid

This is the second brand of smoke trapping item I bought off Amazon. They both work well for the smoke trapping but this one has no way of holding the smoke in so some always escapes out the top. The other brand on the other hand has a lid that can pop on after you blow the smoke in, actually trapping the smoke in and not allowing any to escape. I hope this assists in helping make your product the best possible. Have a lovely day.

Didn't live up to expectations

On the 1st day of use, particles of something started floating around right inside where the mouthpiece is. Product still worked properly, but I didn't like that too much. After 4 days it was completely clogged, couldn't blow through it at all, but when I could blow through it, it worked really well. I smoke a lot, so 4 days of something I spent good money on, just didn't work out with my wallet as a long term tool. I didn't know you could buy replacement filters for it until I saw them on ebay. I ordered a 3 pack of replacement filters and I'm going to count the number of puffs i get before it clogs, hopefully I can update this when I'm done. I'm also hoping those particles that came loose were a one-time thing. This is an honest review...
