Don't feel deprived during the holidays - eat more, feel better, gain less!
I have all of Carrie's books *and I actually use them. A LOT!* I made 2 pecan pies, the pecan pork dressing, and the orange pecan Brussel Sprouts for Thanksgiving. My MIL (who is practically Martha Stewart x Betty Crocker) asked for the recipes! (Guess what she's getting for Christmas? LoL) The pictures are beautiful, and the recipes are slam dunk, grand slam, whatever the hockey equivalent is, EVERY TIME. I've never had anything turn out not tasting wonderfully, and when it comes out not pretty it is 100% my lack of skill. I'm not a kitchen idiot, but I'm also not at all comfortable "winging it" with healthier ingredients like coconut flour (so absorbent! Can't guess the amount of necessary liquid!) or guar gum/konjac flour (which are the textural difference between "meh" and "OMG YES!"). Oddly enough, there's a mental shift that comes with knowing you can eat as much delicious holiday food as you want without crazy sugar crashes/lethargy & added pounds. Interestingly enough, I loaded up my plate and ate half of it before I felt "full enough" because I was stuffing my face with actual nutrition my body recognized. (Everything was just as delicious warmed up as leftovers, AND the pecan pie freezes & reheats beautifully - I made 2 specifically to test that!)Holiday food, soups, smoothies, side dishes, coffee drinks, water you actually want to drink, ICE CREAM (yes really!) - Carrie has worked, reworked, and reworked again recipes for everything you think you "shouldn't have" or "should have but is blah or yukk" when you're trying to be healthy.Best investment in my health to date.(PS I sound exuberant because I am, of my own free will. I wasn't paid or given anything free for this review.)PPS Carrie is very active in social media (Facebook, Instagram) and is EXTREMELY helpful when you've got questions. Speaking from experience here - she graciously helped me tweak the eggnog ice cream recipe to use rum extract instead of rum & explained how to judge custard vs frozen end product taste & helped me decide on an InstantPot for the upcoming recipes!You really won't find any other recipes that have been created with more care & expertise. Trust me - I have a bookshelf of well intentioned but frustrating & inconsistent cookbooks by approximately 17 others. Carrie's are easy, consistent, delicious, AND ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOU!

Another winner from Carrie Brown!
I have all of Carrie's cookbooks - I make the ice cream recipes all the time. I was SO excited to get this one. For my book club I made the truffles, the smoky bacon dip, the cucumber dip and the spinach/artichoke dip. And the crackers. My group was amazed at how wonderful everything was! Follow her directions to the letter (and weight/measurements!) and you can be a star at the holidays. These recipes are REALLY good, not just "well, it's an acceptable substitute for things I used to eat" good. I've made the mash recipe and no one noticed they weren't eating potatoes. I mean it.

Some veryntasty recies, somfar. Would have liked more protein entree other than turkey. Would have rated it higher if nutrient macros for recipes were included.

I tried the porridge recipe today and the Green bean casserole soup. Porridge was good and the soup was incredibly good. Some of recipes call for sour cream, cream cheese, and cream, so be aware of that if you are sensitive to dairy.

The photos inside are amazing as are the recipes. So excited for this.
I bought this book for the pumpkin ice cream recipe that we were teased with. lol But what I can't wait to make are the Cheese/Leek mini quiches (see photo). I'm so excited for an amazing Holiday cookbook to get me through my first Keto holiday cooking.

cant wait to try some of these recipes!! There are many I will be doing..tried two so far and i wasn't disappointed!

Carrie Brown. What else can I say? All of her cookbooks are delicious, relatively easy, and best of all: KETO!!

Healthy Heaven just arrived....
Another Stunning Recipe book from Carrie Brown, that meets the needs of eating Low Carb, Keto or SANE - i.e. healthily, whilst managing to do it with simplicity and style. A wide range of recipes in this one, designed to make holiday or celebration cooking in the next few weeks "work" for those of us who try to live with these ways of eating..... The three I have made all taste delicious (as usual!) and look to become staples in the household.I mean, a healthy Creamy Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink - whoever heard of that? Well anybody who has bought this book has!Mike T.

Exactly what I wanted!
Thank you Carrie Brown for making a simple, delicious recipe book allowing me to make healthier meals for my family. Haven't had a chance to make everything yet but all the recipes so far has been family approved!
