Pros and Cons
As an avid tennis player, I'm very particular about having the right athletic shoe that can keep up with the demands of the sport. After testing out the Asics Gel Dedicate 7, I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and comfort. Here are some pros and cons:Pros:- Excellent lateral support for quick side-to-side motions- Snug heel fit prevents sliding around- Hard plastic heel counter stabilized my ankle- Ample cushioning absorbs impact- Attractive style without flashy colorsCons:- Runs slightly narrow, not ideal for wide feet- Toe box is stiffer than some other athletic shoesOverall, the Asics Dedicate 7 is an excellent shoe choice for regular tennis players like me. The balance of cushioning, support, and stability is hard to beat. I'd recommend it to any fellow tennis player looking for a durable, high-performing court shoe. Hope this review helped!

Favorite court shoes.
This was the third different pair of shoes I tried for pickleball, and they are my favorite. Lightweight, but still give a lot of support and stability. The sizing was accurate. I also like the plain black and white color, which seems difficult to find for many shoes. I bought a second pair right away, because you never know when favorite shoes are no longer available.

Great Shoe But Poor Quality Control
Bought these shoes because of the name brand and the reviews. I got these to play pickle ball and they provide great control and comfort on the court. But, the manufacturer put a yellow logo on the inside of the shoe at the heel. They didn't use permanent ink and the yellow comes off on every pair of socks, see picture. Now, every pair of socks I wear comes out with a yellow heel. For $75 and a name brand shoe I expect better quality control than this - just a poor design and every poorer testing of the product.

Better than expected!
Amazing tennis shoes. Just now getting ready to replace after two years worth of outdoor play. The uppers are very well constructed and have outlasted the soles. Comfortable and perform well. This will be my go to shoe for tennis as long as they’re available.

So far so good.
I've worn these now for a couple days around the house to break them in, and then twice on the tennis court. So far so good. I ordered my standard size and they fit great. Some brands (Nike, Adidas) are always too narrow for me. New Balance fit but only in a wide. Sketchers give me the best fit. These fit somewhere in between all of those with a nice snug fit in the heel and across the arch of my foot with just enough space in the toe box to be comfortable. I think this is a good fit for a purpose-built athletic shoe. The laces are a bit short, as other reviews mention, but I can get them laced and they don't come untied. They will be used for their intended purpose, for hard court tennis. Beyond all that, I like the look, the price is fair, and they feel well built. I will update and adjust this review with any issues that come up.

Did not work well for me
I have been wearing Asics Gel-Challenger shoes for several years and I really liked them but I decided to try the Dedicate model to save some money. Big mistake! The Dedicate shoes start hurting my feet after about an hour of playing doubles on a hard court. They are very stiff and they feel too narrow and they cause pain on the outside of both feet at their widest point. I have never experienced this with Challengers. At first I thought that they just need to be broken in but after playing tennis three times a week for several weeks they still hurt so I am giving up on them and I have ordered a pair of Asics Challenger shoes. I would love to return the Dedicate shoes but I bought them about six months ago and they sat in my closet until my old Challengers wore out.

Very Comfortable Sneaker
Very comfortable sneaker. Feels like a velvet glove is cushioning the feet. Nice style without too many jazzy colors. And yes, it is better for baseliners than serve and net players. Hands down, Asics is really the best quality shoe out there, particularly for racquet ball sports. The heel is kept more firmly in place. But I am concerned they may have eased up on the lasting quality in recent years, so they have to be replaced more often. I have some Asics that are 23 years old and haven’t worn out, full treads!

Good for outdoor Pickleball, but a little stiff
I wear these for outdoor Pickleball on hard surface courts. They provide a good grip and overall give me a good playing experience. However, in contrast to my indoor shoes, these are a little stiff and make my feet a little sore after play. They haven't softened after several months so the stiffness is the nature of the shoes. I likely will look for a different model when I need to replace them. So far they are holding up well after 8 months of play about once a week.
