Marvelous!
Excellent gadget. Saved me hundreds of dollars. My 2005 truck only has an AUX input port and that stopped working when my new phone came without a 3.5mm phone jack. Bluetooth does not work with my old radio. In order to get Bluetooth connectivity, I would have had to install a new radio and matching speakers. I could have purchased a Bluetooth adapter to connect the 3.5mm AUX plug into the AUX input, but reading reviews on alternative Bluetooth dongle adapters, convinced me that there are volume and noise problems.I just tried the Belkin RockStar™ 3.5mm Audio with USB-C Charge Adaptor plugged into my AUX in jack and it is providing excellent results. I can make and receive phone calls and the cell phone charges just fine. Streaming music is static free. Liking this solution the best.Pros: It works with the phone set at low to mid volume. Works with my antiquated radio and amplifier. Excellent sound. I would buy another one to replace it should it ever fail in the future. I would recommend it to friends and strangers.Cons: Not free, but a reasonable price.DISCLAIMER: This review was not generated using AI, nor was it part of any sponsored promotion. Stopped playing audio after a couple weeks of light use
Stopped playing audio after a couple weeks of light use. Amazon won’t take it back. You have to contact belkin. I had fill out a long form with proof of purchase and a photo. Now they are trying to reach me by phone instead of just sending a new item. I work nights so I sleep during the day/business hours. The whole thing is a major hassle. I bought a more expensive name brand product because I wanted something of quality that would last. This is a poor quality item with a high price tag. I would not buy.

5/5; it is my go-to as a necessity
Functionality: 5/5Functions as intended with no issues since I've purchased it.Durability: 3/5Has a plastic shell, so I would not advise being rough with the product in terms of tossing it around, yanking it off from the phone, etc. Treat it with care and it'll last long.Connection speed: 5/5No indication of lag when connected to my Apple earphones and Anker charging cable.Charging ability: 5:5No indication of slow charging. Charging speed seems to be about the same without this connector and just having my phone plugged directly to the charging cable.Heat level: 5/5At most it gets warmCompatibility: 5/5No issues connecting to the Apple 3.5mm earphones and Anker USB-C to USB-A charging cableExtra info:I previously used this version of the product for my iPhone 11 pro that had the lightning cable, and also had no issues with it.

Works great on older devices, does not work on Pixel 7 Pro
Does not work with Google Pixel 7 Pro.I bought this to replace a really cheap USB-C to 3.5mm / USB-C splitter that did not work with my new Pixel 7 Pro phone. Belkin electronic are always top notch and figured that maybe the cheap one had crapped out after a few years of being knocked around my travel bag. Build quality is great, I'd love if I could use this with my new phone.Sure enough, this one also did not work with my Pixel 7 Pro as it does not contain the necessary DAC chip. It works well with an older phone I tested it on but only because the old phone had a DAC chip and new one does not.

Heats up easily, doesn't work with USB-C to USB-A even in own brand
I should have sifted through the reviews more. This adapter doesn't work with its own brand of USB-C to USB-A cords, which was the main thing I wanted it for. Please note the Not Charging alert. It can work with USB-C to USB-C, but my main goal was to have a long cord that didn't require using the huge, chunky adapter Apple offers with the iPad Mini Pro. I'm going to give it a bit more of a try, but I'll likely return it due to having a poor transformer and compatibility issues.I'm disappointed, Belkin. Your similar adapter that works with lightning cables is far better. Why did you change the form factor?

Buy once, cry once
It might seem expensive, but if you have an old car but a new phone, then this is the solution you need because you can charge your phone and output to your AUX all via your USB-C (there is a lightening version available too).I tried cheaper variants before this which didn't last or wouldn't charge properly so eventually I paid up for the Belkin and it's been working like a charm.I took off one start because, as good as it is, it feels like a lot of money for a tiny dongle.Lastly, my set-up is: Cigarette charge with usb-c port --> USB C cable to the Belkin dongle, 3.5mm stereo cable from Belkin dongle to AUX on stereo, USB C connector on dongle to Iphone

Works
Seems to work just fine. I also bought an off-brand import version of this that is just a "Y" of the wires. The block piece on this one is just a little cumbersome and may get in the way for use while walking, hiking, biking, etc. but it should not be too troublesome. I bought this for play in the car, so that's less of a concern for me. I already had a ground loop noise isolator for the car, and I have not tried this item without it, so I cannot speak to any potential interference when used without one. The sound quality appears to be good. Many of these advertise a bit rate and frequency. I do not believe there is anything exceptional to this item in that regard. Craftmanship can be a factor there too though. I have not really tested the limits in terms of sound quality (loud play, complicated songs with lots of bass and/or treble), but so far it plays well.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE, AS USUAL FROM THIS COMPANY. DO NOT BUY!
Does NOTHING it claims to. Sound only from one channel, at half the volume, no mic capability, charging is intermittent. I can’t believe the Apple continues to recommend this company. They make garbage. And even if it does work properly, which this one doesn’t, it works for a short period of time, and then that’s it. And they want you to fork over even more money to replace it. $35 for this is highway robbery. The production on this converter is probably about two dollars. Belkin should be ashamed of themselves for charging this much, and for a product that doesn’t work as suggested, and products that continually fail after a short period of time
