Q: Are these pans made in China

According to Nordic Ware, all pans are manufactured in the USA.

Q: What is the non-stick coating?

I don’t know what the coating is, but it doesn’t work. Cakes stuck every time. I even used Pam and cakes still stick. Don’t buy. Not worth it.

Q: How do you get the cake to come out of the pan so cleanly? Mine always seems to break. What is the secret?

My cakes always come out very neat. That’s one of the things I love about Nordic Ware! It is important to spray the inside of the pan lightly with PAM for baking (or other spay made for the same purpose) and let the cake cool for 10 - 15 minutes, before turning it over with a plate on top.

Q: Mine came with a hole in the rim...is this normal? Not sure if its for heatinggpurposes in baking or defective (which it looks as its uneven)

Other than the hole in the middle of the pan, there should not be any other hole. Sounds like you may have a defective pan. Any contact I've had with Nordic Ware has been positive, so I think they will take good care of you!
