Easy to use, Test Prep.
I felt so unprepared for my test. With using this to help study, it not only gave me more confidence, but it helped me pass my test! I was so happy with it that I recommended it to my class, and many felt the same way about it as I did. It was a life saver for studying and passing our exams!

passed missouri written emt using this
I struggled with just simply answering questions And along with studying the book I used these questions. I took each test twice. And I improved on both after taking them once then a week later before my test. Excellent resource a must have if you struggle trying to figure out wat the question is asking. It also comes with an answer key to explain why u got it wrong.

Good explanations
Good practice questions. It was geared more toward the national test rather than the state test but that was fine. If you just want to do more practice tests this is a good book. It had good explanations. After I read the explanations for the questions I got wrong it always seemed obvious why I got it wrong.

EMT BASIC EXAM QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I found the material very helpful. I just began reading it yesterday but have covered about 40 questions out of the 240 questions. I have failed the EMT National Test twice now but have found the book very exciting and knowledgeable. I will continue reading the book until I can master all the questions so that I may take the test again and hopefully pass it.

The info seems inaccurate.
Was reading through it and the info was not accurate and questions poorly written in my opinion. My son was getting ready to take National Registry. I was excited to help him prepare. But, ended up using other materials. Saw questions regarding CPR that made no sense. Wordy explanations for the answers in the answer key. One Q Ex. Test Q 6. " Which of the following would be considered an indicator of adequate ventilation?" A. The patient's skin has a bluish tinge. B. The patient has a HR of 120bpm. C. The patient has a distended abdomen. D. The pt is being ventilated at min. of 12 times per minute. Well" D" is the best answer based on the choices. But, just because the BVM is being squeezed 12 times in a minute doesn't mean they are properly being ventilated. This may sound ticky-tacky, but it's a vague question and answer and not very clear. I saw other questions written in at the same manner. I hope the author reads this and makes corrections. My qualification, 16year Paramedic.

Test questions are a little out of date and the format does not adequately prepare the reader with the new computerized "adaptive testing" now used on the national exam. The content is OK for a review but probably not worth the price.
