My FAVORITE freeze dry storage bags
Why I love these bags: (1) They are the perfect size and shape to store an individual meal. (2) They have a re-sealable "zipper" so that leftovers can be saved. (3) They're sturdy and thick and made with quality. (4) They stand up by themselves when I'm filling them, and when I'm reconstituting. (5) They're easy to seal and don't melt to pieces. (6) I can reconstitute with hot water right in the bag. (7) This set is an entire kit, with the labels, bags, absorbers. Perfect for my needs. (8) Easy and convenient to use. (9) They're not cheap, but are a great value, considering the quality. These are pretty much the same size/shape as the expensive freeze-dried hiking/camping meals are packaged in. Seriously, these are the best, and I have them on subscribe. VERY recommended!

Great quality!
I purchased some bulk freeze dried foods that came in #10 cans. I wanted to preserve most of them, but have a bit out for easy access. These bags worked perfect for storing the extra until needed. I’m very pleased with the Mylar thickness, plenty durable for shelf storage or even on the go. The design of the MRE bags is nice, as the wide opening makes filling or using them a breeze. The zipper closure works great and makes a good seal. For the longer term storage quantities, I used my clothes iron to seal up the tops. I’m sure an impulse sealer is quicker and easier, but the trusty iron did just fine.

All around great product.
These are the perfect size for a single meal. They sit like a bowl, ziptop, perfect for camping or outdoor activities. Thick mylar, stand up on their own.

quality storage
I haven't packaged anything in them, but the size is perfect for my needs and the thickness of the mylar is propper for long term storage. they will hold an adequate serving for a backpacking meal.

Great for backpacking meals!
These are great! We use them with our dehydrated camp meals to split them up and heat seal the bags with our vacuum sealer. My wife won’t eat an entire meal typically and then we’re left packing out the remaining food. But with these we can split them and write what they are and how much water is needed with the labels that are included. They’re about 1/2 the size of your standard dehydrated meal bag and take up less space, and safe us money on backpacking meals. They function as they should and seal really well with the vacuum sealer heat. Definitely recommend!

Less room than it seems
I like this product. Well-built and not easy to open. It loses a star because it just doesn’t hold as much as it looks. Make sure to spread out the bottom! Great starter set.

Great for backpacking meals.
I don’t normally slow down to write reviews. But I just wanted to let you know, that if you were looking for mylar bags to make backpacking meals, this is the bag you want. The corners are rounded so it protects your bare bag. The volume that this holds is plenty for a very hearty meal. I use up to four squares off of the Harvest Right medium tray for one meal. You have to break them down and shake them into place. Before you start make sure that you open each bag completely. I use a large wooden spoon to push down in it and round out. Bottom line is, this is the miler bag that you want to use when making backpacking meals. I give this a big thumbs up.
