I bought this for my outdoor cats. As you can see it's a great size & pretty sturdy. My indoor cats helped me with assembly & product tested! All kitties approved. I love the fact that this can be taken apart & easily cleaned. This is great for a porch but I would make sure to keep someplace that is covered. (like a deck or porch) I placed mine on my covered front porch & the feral cats love it. Nice & warm.

We have a decently large feral colony in our neighborhood that we’ve been working with neighbors to TNR and care for and always try to help them in the winters. Usually we make the cat shelters from foam coolers but they don’t always like them. This was a great purchase. The assembly was super easy. I suggest searching this same brand and getting a second cover for the heating pad in case a cat makes a mess on one. We haven’t had snow yet but the neighborhood cats definitely are taking a liking to the space. We’re getting a self-heating mat for the upper house too so we can hopefully keep them comfortable. The removable doors are super helpful. We keep them off on the side facing the porch for now and may put them on when the weather gets more severe. We’re in Detroit and so far we’ve had nights in the 20s and are seeing the cats make use of it!

I live in Virginia, and while we don't get winters anywhere near comparison to my years living north of Syracuse NY, my quartet of "porch cats" are no strangers to sub-freezing temperatures. It would be cruel to leave them outside during nights (and even days) that near single digits, and that's why we ordered this Two-Story Outdoor Kitty House with a Heated "Dining Room."While I don't profess to chat with my cats, nor do I possess any telepathic powers, but when I head out to look at them on these frozen nights and see several heads poking out, I realize what purpose this serves, and I couldn't be happier that I've purchased this cat house. For the price, seeing them comfortable in weather that could otherwise kill them, The price is MORE than worth it.Final point: it's hung together through the whole winter and there are no rips or wear other than normal occupation issues like hair accumulation. This product is worth it for your cats (mine are mid-size), and they love it.

Okay so, the house was very very very easy to assemble no doubt. It's also extremely sturdy just for cats. Just like what other reviewers mentioned, the doors in the front scared off my cats. They are both outdoor cats because they grew up with all my sisters and I as kids and my mom did not want them inside after they turned 2 years old and by 3 they were fully outdoor cats. Which is why I bought this house to be outside. One of my cats(white) is very sensitive to noise and gets scared easily ever since he was a kitten. The girl (grey/black) is more friendly but also didn't like the doors so neither of them went inside the house the first few days. Once I removed the doors, they started exploring the house inside and eventually due to the freezing nights they started sleeping inside which got me very happy to see them warmed up at last. It only came with one pet mat so I ended up buying a separate one for the first floor. This is where I really wish the bottom floor connected to the "dining room" as a larger room instead of putting a barrier in-between and adding an entrance through it. My cats are going to be 10 years old this year, and the male one(white) is much larger but still fits inside both floors. It would've been much better if the bottom floor was larger for that reason as you can see in the 4th picture they are both cuddled up and keeping each other warm (they looked so adorable). Now they are not even using the house anymore after I washed their pet mats for some reason which honestly saddens me because I bought it just for them. I really hope they go back to the house soon otherwise I'm going to have to return it :'(

So, this is my first ever 'cat House's, after looking at many, and I was skeptical like some others -- would they like it, would they use it? Well, cats can be fussy, especially ferals, and it took one day for them to decide, and now they use it constantly. It should be noted that each 'room' is only big enough for one large cat or two 6-mo.-olds, but this has worked out fine. Clever design -- uses lots of Velcro and quite sturdy. I may add another, as this house got popular fast!

Happy cats, but no there is only one heating pad and it's super low heat. I added my own (make sure you don't use one that shuts off every 2 hours) and my old mama cat so happy she does not want to come out.

This is our second purchase of a heated kitty house from this company, and again, they delivered on exactly what we needed! It's cozy and the perfect size for our 2 outdoor kitties. Excellent quality and easy to put together.

I have two outdoor cats - dumped on my property after the pandemic - don't even get me started with these people! Anyway, I can't have them inside as I am already up to 6 cats having adopted 3 of them when my mother passed. I, however, will never let an animal suffer so, having ordered other K&H heated houses, I decided to build a kitty condo unit on my front porch. These houses have a unit for the heated pad and then a unit without. In the unheated unit, I placed nice sherpa cat pillows so they could still stay warm when it's cooler but aren't on the heated pad. The extra extension for pet food feeding will also be handy in sub-zero weather. When I went out with food this morning, two very toasty cats came out of their houses so I'd say we have a winner!

House was easy to assemble. Construction seems very solid. We have it outside for our outdoor cats to use in winter and they started to use it the day we set it up and seem to really like it
