Monster Box is full of value, fun, strategy, and replay variety!
King of Tokyo base game is easy enough for family with kids 8+, but with enough strategy to keep adults brains fully engaged. Add the game features of Costume Cards and Power Up Evolution Cards, separately or together, and King of Tokyo goes from cute and silly to brutal and demanding! Set up time is just a few minutes. The rules can be a little tricky for the first game or two, then become second nature. My girlfriend and I are in our sixties, and this game makes us feel like kids! Crazy fun for three to six players, but two can have a blast when each player has two monsters. I love:*The price!*Spacious box with molded insert that stores everything neatly.*The artwork.*The clever and useful dice rolling tray.*The mix-and-match game mechanics.*Extra room in box if you buy Monster Pack expansions (which I'm sure I will).*Monster packs (purchased separately) that add new game mechanics and a new monster in every pack.

King of Tokyo for Two!!!
We just got this game and dove right in. I absolutely love King of Tokyo and have all the games and expansions, plus some. So when I saw this, I had to pre-order it. This is a two player game that involves a tug of war aspect where you are pushing and pulling two icons "Fame and Destruction" towards your goal. There are several ways to win/lose the game. The game has a smaller form factor that can be easily taken on the go. The game heavily relies on the special cards available and energy gathering. These duels are meant to take about 20-30 minutes per session. Our first game took almost 2 hours, this included reading the instructions, going back to certain special rules and my wife is very strategic and took quite a bit of time during the dice rolls and card purchase selections. When cards were purchased and introduced, we had a long battle take place with moving the icons back and forth. My wife ended up finally beating me, by pulling the fame icon into her winning circle. I'll get her next time! There are also some interesting buff tokens that you place and re-arrange on the board when indicated. Lots of variation and replayability with this game. It also comes with some stickers that you use when you complete certain challenges in the game. We managed to unlock two of these on our first game. Thanks to Richard Garfield and IELLO games for another great entry into the Kaiju Monster Battle Arena known as King of Tokyo! We love it!

Everyone We've Played This with Loves It
Our friends had this game and we played it with them. We immediately fell in love with it and had to get our own copy of it. It's easy to learn and fun to play, with a few different tactics you can use to try to win. Everyone we play it with tells us they can't wait to play it again. We have played this so many times and we don't get bored. It takes about 20-25 minutes to play with 3-5 people. It's much faster (and honestly not as fun) with only two people. It only takes a few minutes to learn how to play, as well. Compared to many of the more complicated games we play, this is a nice change.

Monster fun ;)
The picture is in another language yes, lol, I forgot to take a picture of the one I bought before I wrapped it so this is the copy I found in Belgium. It was a gift for my boyfriend who wanted an English copy. Got it on sale when it was 40! It’s amazing quality, will keep you entertained for hours, and was really easy to learn. We loved the cooperative strategy instead of most games which constantly make you go against each other. Definitely a game to add to your wish list!

Hey fun, easy family game that can’t be taught in about a minute and played out in about 30 minutes.
I have heard good things about this game for many years. With an upcoming overnight party on my schedule, I finally decided to break down and purchase this game with the intent of playing it during that we hours of the morning with high school students. While I was at it I also picked up the expansion to go with it and add one more character to the mix.Big game did not disappoint. It was a lot of fun to play and had good artwork and comical text on the playing cards. That game could be taught in just a couple of minutes due to the familiar Yatzee dice mechanics that are the bulk of the gameplay. We played with a full complement of players and our games took approximately 40 minutes each. I believe this was a bit longer than what I will experience in the future because we were just learning it that evening. The only job back to this game is that it does feature player illumination and this is almost certainly bound to happen. So when people were illuminated from the game, they tended to drift away and get involved in other things rather than watch the completion of the game. I tend to avoid games that feature player illumination as that as my Spohn for those people been with a game where they can still interact right up until the end. I think there is a good possibility of young players getting angry or frustrated if they are illuminated from play so I would not recommend playing this with very young children. If you are playing with kids ages 12 or up, however, I think this game would really shine and most settings.

Fantastic Game
This is a tremendous game, and will keep you thinking about potential card combos long after you stop playing, and until/while you play it again. There is a max of four players in this version. If you play King of Tokyo, you may realize this also eliminates Tokyo Bay. There are also some cards unique to this version. This game will accept and be compatible with any King of Tokyo expansion sets. This is a very fun game with a LOT of replay-ability.

amazing game!!!!
this game is a great spin off for king of tokyo, it has the same mechanics plus some additional new ones that make the game a bit more robust and challenging, i lost the first time and learned that you need to think more strategically. if you love king of tokyo you will love this.
