Works well

Works well. I have a cashmere sweater that produced a lot of ling/pilling when it was new. This smoothed it out nicely. Also used a "brush style" and a motorized sweater shaver. All three work great, just a matter of how much work you need to do. Motorized shaver if you have a lot of sweater to cover. This comb is the second fastest (most efficient). The brush style leaves the nicest finish, but is slow because the brush must be cleaned more frequently. Recommend using motorized shaver first for bulk removal, followed by this comb or the brush style for fine detailing. After the first bulk removal, this comb or the brush style one will do you between wearings.

I bought the one with batteries for sweater fuzz. It did not get Eve tithing. This simple Dritz tool as much better at getting all the fuzzies. I returned the battery operated one.

This does the job, but fell apart. The mesh thing that actually brushes the sweater fell off. Now I have to sort of hold it on, which is a nuisance but still works. I hate to bother with a return for such a cheap item. Nonetheless it should not fall apart so easily when gently used.

Ok. It eventually does the job but not great.

Faster than a battery operated piller

I had something like this in high school and it was great, but this isn't the same. I got through about half of the front of one sweater before the cardboard bit fell out; I was able to finish said sweater and do a bit of a coat, but it's just too damaged to continue. I'm pretty disappointed, especially since the first one I ordered never made it to me due to my mail carrier putting it in the wrong box, I assume. Look elsewhere for a sweater comb, this one is kinda garbage.

I've been using one of these fabric combs for several years. If you've never tried one, you'll be amazed at how quickly it removes pills from sweaters and makes them look new again. My sister-in-law was going to get rid of a sweater because of excessive pilling. She was surprised at how easily it took care of the problem. And it doesn't wear out. What could be better? There is no comparison between this and the battery-operated fabric shavers. This is what you need!
