Perfect, genius invention
I’ve been interested in finding a way to get re-usable pods for my vertuo machine so I can brew my own coffee. All the other times I looked, there were lots of metal pods with complicated instructions or very pricey items. This kit caught my total attention when I found it, especially with the concept of being able to tamp the grounds and to seal the foil easily. And, I bought it for <$30 for a permanent reusable system that makes 100 pods! I’m over the moon with this. It works perfectly and now I’m making stronger cups of coffee with the grounds I wanted! PROS: -simple gadget -tamps espresso -seals foil easier -mini brush is very useful to ensure adhesion -foil lids are easily removed in 1 piece after brewing, which allows for continued re-use -super affordable considering how many pods it can seal for you -works with your existing materials CONS: -this is NOT the fault of the company selling this, but rather a fault from Nespresso: the barcode on the bottom of the pod ring controls how the coffee is brewed, so if you really love espresso/ coffee you may notice a difference in your chosen coffee taste by using different original pods -might be a me problem, but I recommend doing this on a cutting board or a paper towel for all the spilled grounds lol 10/10 perfect, would buy again

This Saved My Marriage! (Kinda but not Really)
So we've decided we needed to have a stricter budget, which unfortunately means Nespresso pods are off the list because they're expensive. My wife started doing hand drip coffee, but claimed it was never as strong and didn't have the "froth" like the Nespresso makes. She's not happy, but the heck if I'm going to spend a ton on pods again. After some research, I find that the full metal capsules are not very well rated, but something like this is. Took a shot, and after getting used to it, it's working like a charm. Wife is much happier, (though I'm sure she'd complain it's still not the same only because she knows it's different) and I'm able to just queue up a weeks worth of pods for her. She normally does the 7.7oz pods, which is what we had on hand. Taking a Decaf pod we had (still new) that we keep for guests, I cut it open and measured that it had 13 grams of dry coffee in it. That's an important number to know. Knowing that some people say the coffee is a little weak even with these sealers, I decided to do 14 grams of coffee. 15 grams just seems too full, and I was worried about space in the pod. After cutting the seal on a weeks worth of pods (this was the least favorite part, even though I'll only do it once), I washed them out and dried them thoroughly. Then I setup my assembly line. Using my digital scale, I zeroed it out with the pod holder and pod in it. I added 14 grams of dry coffee (we got a bunch at Marshall's/Home Goods for $7 a pop), and tapped it down with the top. I brushed the edges, put on the seal, and closed it used the top piece. Worked like a charm. I was able to do 16 of them in about 30 minutes. Not a trivial amount of time, but not excessive by any means. Wife had them the next day and was pleased enough, and from her perspective it's much easier than doing the hand drip. She had no complaints about the strength, so I guess the 14 grams of coffee was right, and it allowed for proper brewing without any grounds getting in the cup. So now this is the new routine, and I'll spend about 30 minutes on a Sunday getting them ready for the week. This all being said, even though I gave it five stars, there is some improvement opportunities. There is definitely a learning curve for getting the seals on correctly. They are slightly bigger than the pods (by design) so you don't want to start it edge to edge. You need to make sure to go a little off, so that it's as centered as possible. Even after doing almost 20 of them, I didn't get them as center as I'd probably like. If there was some "tool" or otherwise that could help with that, it would be a huge plus. Also, wouldn't have hated it if it came with a little coffee scoop. That is a bit nitpicky, because you can easily use a spoon. So in the end, I highly recommend this product. Make sure you have a digital scale (it helps a lot), and if you can, make sure you know your measurements. 14 grams of dry coffee grounds for a 7.7 oz pod. I wouldn't be surprised if all of the pods were about a 1.7 - 1.8 grams of grounds to every oz of produced coffee. And for a return on the "investment" in this product, you'll get it after you have reused about three sleeves of coffee. Honestly not bad, and that's about two weeks in our home. After that, it's just getting more grounds, spending 30 or so minutes prepping them a week, and you'll be budget friendly and still happy. Cheers!

good product - poor advertising/bad instructions
first of all the product works. I purchased this because I had over 50 Keurig pods I just didnt want to throw away. I was gifted the nespresso unexpectedly and it DOES brew a superior cup to the keurig, so I wanted to try this out to still use the K-cups I had left. First, the advert isnt clear that you DO NOT GET the rounded metal shell, you are expected to reuse one of your spent nespresso pods, remove the foil, clean out the used coffee grounds, and use that as the base. not a huge deal but would have been nice to know before purchase because I might have tried a different product that did include a reusable container none of the reviews I read mentioned this either. the process is messy but i was already prepared for that, it was NOT time consuming at all as some people stated. my other complaint are the instructions, just 4 small pictures on the side of the box. i figured out that you had to reused an old pod, other than that it was kind of obvious what to do.

Perfect Foils!
Amazing tool, and foils are the perfect size for the vertuo cups. I have been using these for the past five months and have not had a single issue such as machine rejecting the cup or foil tearing. These are durable yet come off in one piece without leaving a sticky residue. Highly recommend this product to give you the freedom of choosing your own coffee and save money!

Just not for me.
I find it to be quicker & easier to use an old fashioned coffee in general. But the machine does make a good cup of frothy espresso; & this gadget can save you some money.
