Ride quality is great!
I have these mounted with OME 2888 springs which are heavy duty for a steel bumper and winch (which I don't have yet). I set the height one notch up from stock (just guessing) and with those springs I netted 4" of lift. They still ride great and I am very pleased. I have freedom off road upper control arms and a front differential drop. The rear is still stock air springs (free lift) - just trick the sensor up until you get what you want and you can then keep your self leveling system. I have bashed this vehicle off road for 8 years and towed some heavy loads and the air system is just great.

Best performing shock
Best performing shock. Much improved over stock. Toyota Tundras should come with this shock as it improves ride, handling, and stability both on and off road. The truck just performs even rock crawling.

I'm glad I replaced my 4WD 2002 Toyota Tundra's front struts with these Bilsteins.
This is the 2nd time I replaced my 4WD 2002 Toyota Tundra's front struts. My truck has over 200,000 miles on it and I had replaced the stock original yellow Bilstein struts with these Bilsteins and these struts lasted for over 120,000 miles before I discovered they began leaking. These struts ride slightly stiffer than the stock yellow Bilstein struts and they cost a little more but they lasted almost twice as long.Plus, these struts are ideal if you have never put a lift kit on your Tundra to remove some of the rake Tundras have when it comes new off of the lot because these struts are adjustable up to 2 1/2" in one-half inch increments. Very nice and will save you money instead of installing a 2 1/2" lift kit to level out your Tundra. I highly recommend these Bilstein struts, especially if you own a Toyota Tundra.

Paid for 2, only received 1
I'm sure the shocks are fine, bit I ordered and paid for 2 and only received 1.

Choose your height wisely!
Great quality overall, but choose your lift height wisely. I have mine on a 2001 tundra 4x4 on the 4th clip setting and it is rough as h**l on any bumps. I started at the 3rd clip, and it was okay but still stiff. On highway, its fine, but anything with a little rough and its sucks. I have my oem sized P tires too. I am going to lower it back down to the 2nd clip setting for hopefully some better ride quality, because I am moving to a LT load e tire. If you want to keep that nice ride, I reccomend going to the 2nd or 3rd at most or looking somewhere else!

Great upgrade
Giving only 4 stars cause was missing a bushing in the install kit. Otherwise great fit and ride.

Great shocks, used on 3rd gen 4runner
Paired these with the Toytec/Eibach 620 coils. They ride great. Easy enough to assemble the strut yourself, just rent a compressor from Autozone or another parts store. Only issue I had was the compressor paws were stuck in the coil once I had it assembled. I ended up just prying them out, which scratched my coils a bit (who really cares).Shocks come with everything you need except for the top hats. You can reuse the ones from your old struts or just buy new ones.

These worked out very well. Great ride!
These worked out very well. Great ride! Just have to give them time to settle and get an alignment. You will be satisfied. Took me just a few hours to replace.
