Amazing and comfortable hiking boots.

I love them. Not a single blister, I ran in them and still no blisters, having only warn them once! They are the best outdoor boot I ever bought, by miles. Good fit, comfortable, light, tough every thing you need. The added support they give you when, pushing up of through your foot, pretty dammed good.

A quality product that gives excellent support to the ankles.

These boots feel narrow on my feet compared to others I have worn, I like the tightness since I have a problem with a protruding ankle bone that needs supported. Have similar soles on other Solomon shoes and I know they do not last long compared to others, but grip well whilst they still have tread. Wore then in the house for a couple of days before going out on the trails with them, they did not hurt my feet breaking them in. Have ordered another pair since I reckon after 200-300 miles of trail walking they will be worn out trail wise, yet I so like the lightness and waterproof levels of these boots. My sore ankle does not bother me much and certainly never worsens whilst I wear these.

I originally rated these 5 stars on here and i've come back to correct my initial enthusiasm. After walking around in light rain this morning both feet got soaked. They started off excellent but have proven what others have written and after less than two months have started leaking. ON BOTH FEET! No longevity and for the price i'd expect to get at least a year. I treated them with the correct leather and synthetic applications as recommended in the leaflet that came with them and it has done nothing. I thought being GORTEX lined would have prevented water egress, but no. The left one has a leak near the toe and the right might I as well have been just wearing a sock. Don't buy these. They are useless.

I bought these as replacements for my worn Salomon Prime Quest boots. (A shame they don't still make them.) As with the Prime boots, these only required a couple of days breaking in with some short walks. (The top of the boots required the breaking in.) The boots fit well, are comfortable and generally grip well. They work well on wet grassy slopes, and dry rocks. The Primes did not work well on wet rocks, and I have yet to try these on those. I have found no waterproofing issues with the boots. Update: Just bought my second pair of these. The first pair were worn every day on walks for the past 2 years. Unfortunately both boots split a bit at the front. Super-glue may have fixed it, but the heels were wearing too, so I bought a new pair. I think the boots did very well - as said they were worn every day. I have found no problem with these boots on wet rocks (mentioned above in the initial review).

Straight out of the box I did a 12k cliff hike in rain at -1c. Warmest part of me was my feet (with decent merino socks). There really was no breaking in necessary. Result! The lower of my foot normally aches after a hike (even with other Salomon GTX) but not with these. Not sure why this is as they both have Ortholite insoles. Other reviews say the sole is too stiff but that hasn’t been my experience thus far. They are really light. If you have other Salomon boots, get the same size imo. For me it’s half a size up from shoes. Really easy to get the correct fit all over with the lace system. This is as something I find an issue with other brands like HH. You can get the perfect fit really. Really happy with this purchase even though the delivery time was longer than usual. As a plus they look fantastic.

Chaussures vraiment bien pour la rando bien imperméable super résistante et la semelle qui est un peu plus longue sur l'arrière du talon est un sacré plus pour l'acroche du pied en descente dans les sentiers utiliser dans la neige,la boue,le sec c'est le top par contre ce n'est pas une chaussure très respirante pour les personnes qui transpire comme des sangliers. Et Petit détail important les lacets sont de très bonnes qualités
