Easy to setup, long lasting battery powered by solar. Easy to mount. We bought this to keep some cows out of our yard and it’s working perfectly.

Works as described

I had to mess with it quite a bit. I used a 4 ft ground rod and I fiddled with everything multiple times after being fully charged and suddenly it just worked. I also discovered that you can't use a multimeter to test because it destroyed it. An 8 month old, hyper and destructive pit bull was the first to test it out, he immediately ran to the house wanting inside and hopefully learned the first time to stay off the fence. The LED light is on the back, so if you mount it to a wood fence, you'll not only never see it but it's really hard to flip the toggle switch. It would be really NICE if they put the switch and LED light on front above the solar panel or something. Also the LED light flashes as if it's sending a pulse even when there is no actual output on the terminal. I guess you need a Joule meter to test it, I figured a MM or Non Contact Voltage Tester would work but it doesn't do anything for the latter and the former it destroyed it first pulse. So be wary of that.

It worked for a few days. When I checked it this morning it was not working. The last two decades I have always used Gallagher, but thought I would try this because of price. Then when I try to return Amazon use to send return code to phone, but now you have to print your own label. I do not have a printer, so what use to be simple is not. Bottom line just stick with Gallagher fence chargers, they are worth the extra money.

Plug and play. Awesome output even on fence that's old and likely has a lot of resistance. Keeps the sassy pony and his taller friends in no problem as well as keeping the overzealous dog out as well. Sits right on top of a T-post in a pre-fabricated slot in the bottom for easy attachment. Not nails, no intense installation. Plus the T-post is a handy, instant ground rod to boot. So the convenience is great. The auto/night feature is awesome too. Very happy with this set up so far. Have used since spring (about 4 months) and am satisfied enough to where I ordered another one.

Last summer the deer ate nearly everything in our garden. This summer we upgraded - the deer got NOTHING! It's easy to install, charges great, the batter life is superb, and the price is so much better than one with a separate solar panel. I have recommended this product to several friends who have purchased one. From experience I can tell you the shock is enough to ensure you don't want to touch the wire a second time.
