I love the craftsmanship, quality, and feel of the brushes. Hog hair bristle is ideal for oil painting. The hogs may be from several parts of the world, but the most sought after is from China; thus, this set is accurately identified as "100% Natural Chungking Hog Hair Bristle". The bristle forms a flag at the tip (and tends to have a natural curve) which helps to distribute the paints smoothly and evenly. The interlocked bristles formed inward to the beautiful white coppers ferrules. You can easily tell that they were fashioned by skilled brush makers, will not fray and come apart. This set is beautifully crafted with ergonomic long, light handle giving you the freedom to be creative with each brushstroke, while maintaining a correct perspective of your subject. The calligraphy on the handle is beautiful; the shape and number are easily identified.I had an issue with the crimp on one of the brushes, and the seller shipped me a new one immediately. They earned my business and I have been looking for more of their products to purchase. This is one of the few sellers/products that I can skip prior reviews, and go straight to check out. I use mostly bristle brushes and am constantly on the lookout for reasonably priced brushes that are good quality. I saw and these and decided to order them. I am very pleased with them. Genuine Chungking bristles and the brushes appear to be good quality. I will enjoy using them.The brushes arrived promptly and the seller is very interested in providing good customer service. I will be buying from them again!Update: I have been using these brushes for several weeks now and wanted to mention a vary useful application for them. I am now using them for painting foliage of all types. It is easy to spread the bristles out to get the random marks needed for grasses and leaves.

I like these brushes, but I removed one star because the packaging is so that the very tip of the longest brush got bent - the brush is a bit too long for the package. I haven't used the brushes, but they feel nice to the touch.

Very well made. Handsome brushes. It looks more expensive than it costs. Long elegant handles with gorgeous color. Looked so good I did not want to dirty them with paint. That aside, it is a quality brush set. Would buy again.

Not good brushes, either for painting pictures or craft items. Bristles fell out, didn't keep their shape, and the handle came off one on first use.

I have been painting for over 10 years now with a Oils on canvas. The brush hog hair bristles fell out of every brush, and I had to pick up not some but many of the bristles that the brush was leaving behind on the canvas in the paint and considering the piece was for a show not only did the bristles come out of the brush, but when painting the bristles were so stiff, they were lifting off pieces of the canvas so I will have to start again. I have never used any paintbrush as awful as these. Do not buy them. I am assuming I’m out of the money since they were used and have to be returned in new condition so I paid $18 for a case and a bag that I can use to carry my other better quality brushes in.

I am new to oils and had read a recommendation to use hogs hair brushes. These were affordable so I thought I would give them a try to add to my small brush collection. I am happy with these brushes. For a personal touch, they inquired about whether I had received they brushes and provided good information about care and use. While removing the glue from the brushes, a small clump of bristles fell out of one side of the ferrule on one brush (there has been very minimum loss on the other brushes if any, even during use). I wrote to the company, they responded immediately and my replacement arrived promptly.
