Looks snazzy, but you get what you pay for.
I got this alongside my first mig welder for Christmas, in an attempt to practice welding more. It was actually overlooked to begin with, so I ordered the one which would arrive the next day (which it did) since my usual hardware stores were closed.The mask is of the type which senses strong light and automatically dims the visor to protect the eyes. I had only used a standard mask previously, so was looking forward to being able to see what I was welding. It is solar-charged, so shouldn't need any battery changes at any point. Presumably when that fails it is time for a new mask.The helmet fits nicely, and there is plenty of adjustment for the horizontal and vertical straps, as well as to move the mask closer or further from your face. It doesn't move very close, but it does the job. The mask rolls up and down to allow you to look at the work without the visor. Unfortunately this is quite loose and I keep ending up with the mask falling back down again, even after tightening all the appropriate fittings. It isn't too bad if you push it all the way to the top, but even so it can fall back down.The dimming works very quickly, and I didn't experience any scratchy retina burn, so I'm assuming it was quickly enough. There are adjustments inside for speed and amount of dimming, but both of these were turned up to max when I got it. I feel that the dimming isn't quite enough, as I was unable to see the piece after I stopped welding due to having large spots in my vision for some time afterward. Perhaps this is normal, but I didn't think that it happened with the old-style masks.For a cheap-ish mask (£30, so not the cheapest) it does the bare minimum. It isn't particularly heavy or uncomfortable, but it just doesn't feel like it has any quality components. I probably wouldn't purchase again, but I'll not be returning it for a refund either as it does do what it says on the tin.

I can see through this one
I bought this for my husband because the helmet that came with the welder that we bought him was absolutely rubbish ,you can hardly see a thing with it and that's dangerous when your welding.this one is great with adjustable strap so it actually fits your head lightweight and completely protects your head

Amazing value.
These helmets can cost a fortune so I was reluctant to buy a cheap one on the advice of a welding friend. I'm glad I did. It's perfect and it comes with extra screens.
